Description

Oversized tires are the trademark look of a lifted rig. Unfortunately, they can have a mind of their own. Reign-in control of your big bad tires with Rancho's Steering Stabilizer and discover stock-style handling with the dominating looks and clearance of massive tire size.

Bolting between your frame and main steering system, the Rancho Steering Stabilizer reduces common vibration from tires up to 35" in size. Arm fatigue and strain are immediately reduced, boosting overall control.

Rancho Steering Stabilizers employ their famous RS5000 Shocks in a horizontal design for on or off-road control. They're available in a single stabilizer design for most vehicles, or a double stabilizer setup for extreme off-roading in select models. Replacement stabilizers are also available for pre-equipped rigs.

Installation is a straightforward project with all hardware and custom instructions included. Best yet, your Rancho Steering Stabilizer boasts a Lifetime Warranty.

My Different reason for getting this!

Posted on 09/04/2007 by Andrew B. - 1999 Ford Expedition (Roswell,GA)

"Have a stock 1999 Ford Expedition 4WD. Just installed steering damper Labor Day weekend. Noticed right away that steering buckled down quite a bit on the test drive. My application for my vehicle is to tow a travel trailer (25 ft) and wanted something that tamed the "bowl of jello" I was driving. Seems to work well unloaded. Have not tested it with a trailer in back, but expect good results (this is the reason for 4/5 stars). Going over bumps and dips on roads yielded a nice ride. Side note: The steering damper was the same as the regular Rancho 5000 shock - just a different SKU number! Installation: Clear instructions, assumed you know what the car parts are, but pictures were a big help. We installed it in less than a half an hour. Quick, and good "bang for the buck" handling option."

Better than stock

Posted on 06/18/2007 by Joseph B. - 2002 Ford F350 (Bound Brook,NJ)

"The only complaint with the rancho stabilizer is the finish does not hold up well. This is the second one I have installed on the truck. The first one had very little paint left on it. Rancho could do a better job with choice of coatings they need something more durable."

"I got the Rancho stock replacement stabilizer for my 05 Dodge Ram 3500 w/ 33" Toyo M/Ts. Installation time was about 10-15 minutes and it looks great with the red boot. I no longer have to fight the truck to stay going straight down the road. Worth every penny."

Could stabalize an economy!

Posted on 11/29/2006 by Kyle R. - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Gainesville,FL)

"After a 4.5 inch lift my steering was decent. If I was offroading my steering wheel would have a mind of its own when going over bumps, logs, and other terra. With the Rancho Steering Stabilizer (OEM Replacement, non-dual) my steering is very controlled offroad and on. It also stopped my little wobble in the wheel. The most important thing with this stabilizer is the B.A. factor. When going down the road with the red and white stabilizer showing it lets everyone know your vehicle is B.A.! Buy one!"
