Description

Mammoth tires, humongous wheels, and towering lift kits transform ordinary trucks and SUVs into menacing beasts. All these upgrades can dramatically alter how your rig drives, especially on bumpy backcountry roads. Bolt on Fabtech's Steering Stabilizers and say goodbye to unpredictable steering.

Rugged terrain and uneven roads can cause obnoxious front-end shimmy and annoying wheel kick. Fabtech's Steering Stabilizers tame these bucking, rearing forces before they creep up your steering wheel. These burly Steering Stabilizers are also ideal for correcting the weight imbalance of heavy snow plows.

Fabtech crafts Steering Stabilizers for weekend warriors and full-blooded off-roaders alike. Each Steering Stabilizer is custom-built for your vehicle and available in either a single or dual setup. These easy-to-install Steering Stabilizers come with heavy-duty mounting bracketry, hardware, detailed instructions, and a Lifetime Warranty.

Notes

  • Some minor drilling may be required during the installation of your Fabtech Steering Stabilizers.
  • Select Ford pickups have the option of upgrading from the standard Performance Shocks to Fabtech's breakthrough Dirt Logic Shocks, which give you maximum dampening in even the harshest conditions.

"The rubber bushings are oversize and the nut can not be placed on shaft end. Used one old rubber part that allowed assembly possible."

"I had attempted to order this from other auto part stores but they just wanted to much for this product and other brands, Autoanything beat the prices by 50% yes that is unbelievable. This product fit with no modifications at all just a bolt on product with supplied hardware. My truck is a 1998 F150 4x4 with 3" body lift and 13-33-16 TSL Super Swampers this made the truck stear better than it did with all terrian tires on it "I LOVE THIS PRODUCT"."

"I felt some difference, but Im running 35" mud grapplers. These tires are Heavy being a 10 ply. I may need double steering stabilizers. However, I did notice some difference. Perhaps with a smaller, lighter tire, a single would have suffice. Good product Overall."

"Installed this last week as a direct swap for the OEM unit. Installation was very basic. After the install immediately the steering felt more "solid" than before, off-road the steering definitely felt more planted. Good addition to the setup."

Looks Cool...Didn't do much

Posted on 05/05/2006 by Aaron V. (Colorado Springs,CO)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I put the stabilizer on to steady my truck after lifting it and putting 37's on. The steering was not really that noticeably different, which was a little surprising/disappointing. The real value will probably be seen down the road when I need tires again....Overall, it's a good thing to put on. Installs just fine."
