Description

The holy grail of suspension technology is the perfect blend of ride comfort and load hauling capacity. In the past, auto builders had to choose one over the other. Today, with the Air Lift Leveling System, you get the best of both worlds—a smooth ride and plenty of backbone to haul the heaviest loads.

The secret behind the Air Lift Leveling System is simple: you control the firmness of the air bags. When you’re fully loaded or towing a trailer, fill them full of air to do away with sag, sway, bottoming out, roll and more. For everyday commuting, keep them deflated for a downy soft ride. Dragsters can also use the Air Lift Leveling System for greater rear-wheel traction at the speedway. With an Air Lift On Board Air Control System, you can even make on-the-fly adjustments as road conditions change.

The Air Lift Leveling System is custom-made from rugged materials for your coil over or leaf spring suspension. Most installations don’t even require drilling, and all include a Lifetime Warranty.

"I wasn't sold on these but after reading other's reviews, I had the confidence to purchase and install them on my wife's Toyota Sienna to pull my 19' Sea Ray. I am very impressed as the van rides very level and have had no problems pulling this boat a relatively short distance of about 10 miles to the lake. Even with passengers in the van, it still rides very nice. The installation was so easy, I only needed my leatherman supertool to install. Pretty freakin' sweet."

"Installation takes more that an hour, but once completed does the job quite nicely. I installed them on a 2000 Suburban that was sagging in the back and it picked it up and made it ride quite a bit better. For the price you can't go wrong. I definately would buy them again."

"Best possible upgrade for the Xterra if you carry weight or haul a trailer. Our Xterra constantly bottomed out when we were loaded down with people and a cargo box on the roof. Took about 3.5 hours to install and has performed flawlessly. Ride is much more comfortable and stable when hitting bumps at freeway speeds. Wish I had installed it years ago."

"The kit was not as easy as you say they are we had to drill all the holes in the frame. It would have been better to have at least existing hole to start with. Once we figured it out the other side was much easier. You will need some really sharp bits and a good saw to cut the u bolts though. If you have these tools it should take about 4 hours not 1 1 1/2."

"Pluses:Does a good job of load leveling and improving stability when towing; Easy to install for someone with mechanical skills. Minuses: Installation instructions could be clearer. It is too generic and covers too many applications. No bill of materials for the actual kit purchased, just an inaccurate "hardware list". Installation tip: Use one of the large hose clamps included with the heat shield to hold the airbag in the "rolled" postion for installation in the coil spring."

"Excellent product at a great value. I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I bought a 21ft. Jayco Kiwi Htbrid travel trailer. Without the air bags the tongue weight made my Jeep squat to much with alot of sway in the back. But, with the airlift air bags running at about 25PSI it kept it perfectly level and solved the pitch and roll problem as well. Would recommend to anyone looking to solve this problem for a resonable price. Jim"

"I ordered these to help stop the wheel hop on my 2006 GTO. Installation was relatively easy; jack up the rear of the car, squeeze all the air out of one bag, and slide it inside one of the rear springs. Repeat for other side, connect the air lines and your done. All in all, about a 30-45 minute job. This is the most inexpensive solution I have found that claims it helps wheel hop. After taking it for a test drive, I must say it has greatly helped the wheel hop problem. However, it did not solve it entirely. I would still recommend this if you looking to help the wheel hop problem without spending tons of money."

"Installation is straightforward with good pictures in the instruction pamphlet. I suggest using a stepped drill bit to drill the hole in the pan underneath the coil spring for the air line. I ran two separate lines for independent control of lift, terminating the lines in the gas cap compartment, for ease of adding air. Installation was 3 hours. I have recommended this system to other family members who also own a Honda Odyssey."

"My husband installed the whole system in about an hour. Ensure you install the air fitting and hose at the top of the airbag before you squeeze them into the spring. The ride unloaded inflated to 35 pounds was noticeable with the rear being more firm. The ride was better than stock. The whole system maintained air pressure 3 weeks after installation with no leaks. We tow a 2500 pounds trailer and noticed no sag in the rear with the airbags inflated to 20 psi. For the price and ease of installation, I recommend this aftermarket product to anyone with this year of the Pathfinder. I hope this helps!"

"Only real complaint is the instructions. Might as well not have any. No parts list for supplied hardware, you have to figure out by trial and error which way certain pieces go and how to align them. Other than that I am satisfied with my purchase. The bags allow me to maintain a half ton truck ride when empty, and carry a 1 ton truck load when inflated. I haul alot of different trailers, some weigh as much as 12,000 lbs. The air bags are all I needed to make my Tundra handle these loads."

"This kit seems to work well. My only complaint is that it required a 3/4 inch drill bit which is not something most people, including myself have. The installation was a little more time consuming than expected, because of this I wold consider Air shocks as an alternative if I were to do this again, but I am happy with the end result of this. It does what it is advertised to do."

"I purchased this Air Lift kit for a Chevy S-10 that I converted to all electric. The extra battery weight was too much for the leaf spring helper that I added to the truck. This Air Lift was PERFECT! Following the instructions on the first side installed didn't go very well. The second side went perfectly. I had to go back and re-do the first side. After that, the truck rides like my car."

"A couple days before the 1200 mile trip to Daytona and the new bike trailer was making the bumper drag the ground. Thought the party of the year was over before it even started. Added the AirLift 1000 kit in about an hour and the problem was solved. Picked up the rear end a couple of inches and made the vehicle handle great on the road. Highly recommend this product due to its performance and ease of installation."

"Arrived in 3 days. Installation took 2 hours with air tools and no lift. With a lift probably 1 1/2 hrs. These should be factory equipment. The difference in ride quality is well worth the price of this kit. I run 15 lbs in each side with no load and 40 lbs when towing my boat(17' whaler). Soaks up bad road conditions a lot better than stock springs. As far as what could be better. Stainless hardware would be nice. Mounting plates powder coat was scratched in several spots due to poor packaging by the manufacturer. Other than that, love em."
