Description

The holy grail of suspension technology is the perfect blend of ride comfort and load hauling capacity. In the past, auto builders had to choose one over the other. Today, with the Air Lift Leveling System, you get the best of both worlds—a smooth ride and plenty of backbone to haul the heaviest loads.

The secret behind the Air Lift Leveling System is simple: you control the firmness of the air bags. When you’re fully loaded or towing a trailer, fill them full of air to do away with sag, sway, bottoming out, roll and more. For everyday commuting, keep them deflated for a downy soft ride. Dragsters can also use the Air Lift Leveling System for greater rear-wheel traction at the speedway. With an Air Lift On Board Air Control System, you can even make on-the-fly adjustments as road conditions change.

The Air Lift Leveling System is custom-made from rugged materials for your coil over or leaf spring suspension. Most installations don’t even require drilling, and all include a Lifetime Warranty.

1985 GMC Jimmy-K15 / Front Leveling Kit Assembly Woes

"The most difficult assembly task encountered was the removal of the 6 rivets on the front bumper stop brackets, in order to provide clearance for the air spring assembly. Locating the air springs forward of center was not possible because of the sway bar interference. The need to remove the bumper stop brackets could have been eliminated if the lower bracket for the air spring was designed to clear the sway bar for forward of center mounting of the air spring. Allowing the bumper stop to remain undisturbed could also help prevent a "bottoming-out" condition, in the event of a air spring failure. Other than the above, the product components appear to be well designed, quality produced and customer friendly."

"Installation of Air Bags was fairly simple. Installation of the additional air pressure monitoring system was more involved, took about 2.5 hours to install the monitoring system. All components work perfect, made a huge differnce in towing, took out 90% of sway, and helped the pickup handle the heavy loads much easier. Would recommend this system to anyone who tows large heavy loads."

"I tow a 24' trailer with field equipment. The Air Lift Leveling Kits has so far met my every expectation. The trailer drops the truck 4-5 inches - after pumping up the air lifts I'm back to within an inch of normal. Hence driving with the Trailer is significantly better with the truck level. I am very happy and have been telling others!"

"I was told that the air lift would fit my 1996 toyota 4runner and I wouldnt have to take it to a mechanic to install them. I fought for an hour to try to get the spacer that goes inside the coil. It wouldn't fit. I finally took my saw and had to cut it in half to get go inside. I didn't want to modify it but it was my only option. I think it will work ok. The last air kit I bought was the firstone air bladder which lasted 2 yrs and was more money. Im not sure if I would recommend these unless the change the design of their spacer. Other than that they dont have any leaks yet."

Jeep Liberty Kit Works on 2008 Dodge Nitro

"I keep about 500 lbs of parts and tools in the back. The Nitro's stock suspension is way too soft and frequently bottomed out. I hated the Nitro's ride and was desperate to fix it, but the dealer and parts stores did not have a solution. Because the Jeep Liberty and the Dodge Nitro are very similar, I decided to see if the Liberty kit would work on my Nitro. It worked fine, even though it is not listed as one of the compatible vehicles. If you are not an experienced mechanic, I do not suggest doing the installation yourself. You can damage brake hoses etc if you are not careful."

"i bought the kit that is for trucks with a 5th wheel hitch installed. found it would have been easier without the 5th wheel kit. hardest part was mounting top brackets, rest was easy. unit does exactly as advertised, keeps my 250 level pulling my 34ft 10,000lb 5th wheel, ride is excellent... love the low pressure sensor, keeps it at regulated pressure, always... SUPER PRODUCT highly recommend to all that tow light or heavy."

"The air-lift bags were easy to install - be sure to block up your vehicle, don't use just a tire jack. Once the tire was off the ground and the spring extended, it was fairly easy to insert the air bags. Routing the air hose away from the Exhaust wasn't too bad - just had to pick a good path. Once installed, they worked great on our camping trip last weekend. No more scraping when going from the road to a driveway."

"Have taken only one trip with a small pop up camping trailer, but air lift seems to have performed as intended. Local auto shop installed them for me and their comments were 1)need more length of hose in the kit to allow flexibility in routing, and 2) hose coudl sue some protection from road bebris where it exits the bladders below the springs."

"I think the instlation manual is guite good, but it leaves out some important notes such as: 1. How (where) to install the 4" plastic washers and only 2 of the 4 shown are used on some vehicles. 2. Note that the air line to the bag must go over the top of the spring upper mount, not anyway throuh the spring which could pinch it off. 3. Supply a different hose clamp for the air line attachment to the air bag because it is a b--- to get in above the bag to pinch it and position it on the air stem when the bag is in the spring. Possibly a small worm gear clamp."

"I installed these on a 2003 Jeep Liberty. The installation took the better part of a Saturday only because I had to make two trips to the auto store. Had I had all the right tools from the start, I could have gotten this done in about 3 hours - considering my novice experience with this sort of installation. I lifted the frame of the jeep with RV sizzor jacks and used a floor jack to manipulate the axle. Tip1: I could not get the coils out of their mounting spots without a coil spring compression tool (one of my trips to the auto store.) Tip2: The hose clamps they send you are too big to fit the exhaust of the Liberty, you will want smaller clamps (my 2nd trip to the store) to install the heat barriers. All in all, I am very satisfied with the product and the installation."

"Installation was easier than I expected. The Air Lift system performed perfectly in our heavily loaded Focus wagon during a recent road trip. The air lines and clips appeared flimsy, but after our 1500 mile trip there was no sign of chafing, rust, or other wear. I'm buying a heavier-duty Air Lift system for our Dakota pickup next."

"They work as advertised, Install took 1 hour. Be aware, if you dont have access to a lift this will take alot longer to install. I did not have to remove anything but the right rear tire to install the bags, but without a lift to let the springs fully extend, this could have been a major pain. Over all it was a straight forward install. I am sure many motorist are now happy that I am no longer blinding them with my head lights. I give this kit 4 out of 5 stars only because nothing is perfect, but it does what it says it will do with no major modifacations."
