This is a great kit and it is very sturdy. Install at home was a bit hard with the springs, but it worked. The kit came with everything needed, but the install instructions could have been more detailed (the photos were nice). Truck still drives like stock and I have seen no difference in MPG.

This is a very well made kit. Quality of kit is excellent. If you are going to install this kit yourself laying on your back with your truck up on stands than be sure to have a buddy to help. Allow yourself 3 to 4 hours for the front. I imagine no 2 vehicles are alike, some may be easier than others. I did run into an issue with the sway bar end link on the drivers side and spent about 45 minutes getting it aligned properly, NOT fun!

The product is awesome. I would highly recommend this to fellow Taco owners. The installation was not that complicated and it took me about three hours to finish. The vehicle looks good and leveled. Fast shipping. Thanks!

If you do not want to spend 1300 for the 4"-3" kit and want a slight lift then for the money this is the kit for you. This was my first time installing a kit like this and it took me and a friend about 3 hours to complete with a floor jack, jack stands and some basic tools. Not bad.....

Instalation was done in the driveway, instructions could be a little clearer. Final look is exactly what I was looking for. Ride is as goog if not better. The extra clearence is perfect. Very Happy with product.

Are there any issues with parts wearing prematurely ie;balljoints due to changing the angle of ride stance.
Answered by Nathan S. — 37 minutes ago
Hi, It's common for a suspension lift to wear factory ball joints faster than a stock lift due to the changes in control arm angles. This bigger the lift, the faster the wear. This is a fairly mild lift and will last for many years without issue.

Will I have to re-align mt front end after installing this lift?
Answered by Nathan S. — Apr 18, 2013 4:38 PM
Hi, You will need an alignment after installing anything that alters suspension geometry. A suspension lift definitely falls into this category.

does any one know if this works on a 2wd with Z71 suspension or would I be wasting my time & money?
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 26, 2013 12:06 PM
Hi, The kit depends on whether you have front torsion bars or coil springs, so select accordingly. The kit is definitely worth it if you want addition clearance for larger wheels and tires.

what would be the difference in having the 3" front 1" rear and the 3" front 2" rear? is the 3/1 just a leveling kit?

was reading somewhere that installing this could make it necessary to buy new upper cont arms to get alignment right? Also 2012 taco is slightly different, will this still work?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jun 29, 2012 7:16 AM 2012 Toyota Tacoma
Lower control arms usually have eccentrics to provide adjustability during alignment and do come in different sizes. In most cases, replacement of the eccentrics are not needed, but every truck is a little different alignment wise and that could warrant replacement. The eccentrics are rather inexpensive and easy to change once the strut has been removed. I have heard of installation of new upper control arms for a long travel suspension but it seems a little radical to achieve alignment on a basic suspension lift when a cheap set of eccentrics will do the job the right way.
