"The air compressor was just great and works well especially for someone who is not great with tools and such! However the bags zipper stuck on the main section. I did my best to get it unstuck, got a neighbor to help, and neither one of us could get the zipper unstuck. I had to take a knife and cut the bag open. Other wise I would have given everything an excellent rating. If you have a motor home, this is the compressor for you."

"After reading reviews of VIAIR 400. I made decision to buy one. This compressor is great, well build. The unit is quiet when in use. I like the steel air chuck and the quick connector air coupler. The pumping capacity is fast. This unit comes with a nice canvas bag. The pump and its stuff can fit inside the bag nicely.
The gauge reading is about 5 psi higher than the real pressure. Caution: The unit get hot after use. I wish this unit would come with a AC power cord instead of connecting 2 cables to the car battery.
Allover all, I am happy with my purchase. Autoanything delivered this unit to my home FAST."

"This is a very expensive compressor made in China. It is also the only 12V compressor out there specifically made to carry in your RV. The pumping capacity of this compressor is amazing, and it is very quiet. The two air chucks it comes with address the common problem with RV tires - the inside rear duals are very hard to reach, and this equipment makes access much easier. It comes in a great bag with a lot of pockets and zippers (makes the entire unit bigger than it needs to be), and the two air hoses it comes with make reaching rear tires a snap. At over $300, it is at least 50% overpriced, but it currently has no competition. If you have an RV and want to carry an effective air compressor, this is the one to buy."

"I've had this compressor for a couple of weeks. Used it twice so far. Very quiet, quick to fill. I wish we made em of this quality in this country. The service from this company was awsome and delivery was quick. I will buy from this company again."

"I am very happy with my purchase. I am a hunter and also we are going to be traveling to New Mexico in Dec. and these are the two reason I purchased the 450[I like the automatic shut off]. I recieved my 450 viair at my restuarant, showed it off to my customer, everyone loved it, some offered me money for it. One of my customer is also a hunter and he said he is going to purchase one too. The only thing is i wished it came in a hard case, i don't know how it will hold up if it fall or gets thrown are in my tool box or my ATV? I guess we will see, ask me for my opinion in a year or two. That will be the real test! I also think you should provide a small tire kit. I also wished the the on/off switch was lite for when it's used at night. I went and bought a pair of gloves and put them in my bag. I read the manual and it said the compressor get hot after a use, that's the reason for the gloves. Just a little extra as a precaution, you never know.
Thank you
Domingo"

"I purchased this Air Compressor for use with my Motorhome since its tire ratings are based on Cold Inflation pressures. How do you drive a motorhome to a location that has 125 psi air and not heat up the tires? My only negative comment about the Viair 400 is the length of provided 12 Volt connection cable. After making connection to the MH battery, its is difficult to reach the wheel positions. The coiled air hose pulls the air compressor mounted skid/mounting plate behind it and pulls the battery connectors off of the battery."

"This worked great. When running the pump is quiet and certainly would not wake the neighbors. The double yellow lines allow me to reach all the RV tires from the cargo box and the accessories are good quality. The pressure gage reads 5lbs higher when the compressor is running vs not running. Took less than a minute to top off my RV tire from 100 lbs to 110 lbs. Topped off all 4 tires in less than 4 minutes. Nice unit, works well and stores nicely in the canvas bag."

"Good build quality and plenty of hose to fill all tires without moving the compressor around. It would be better if it had a 12v plug instead of just the attachments for the battery, or at least the option to use one."

"The VIAIR generally works as advertised. It will take truck tires to 80 psi quickly. However, there are threee problems that should not exist with a quality unit. First, the fittings for the attachments slip off too easily while inflating (very annoying). Second, the guage does not provide proper readings when filling (it tends to read about 5 psi low), which requires a second guage to check the pressure. Third, there should be an alternative power source (AC) that would eliminate starting the vehicle's engine. That said, this is a compact and convenient unit for RVers."

"We went for a mont long trek across the southwest las summer. I found that I needed a compressor on the trip. Stopped at Kragena, got their top of the line protable, it melted down the first time I used it on my tow vehical. I reasearched and went for the 400p-RV and it works great...
The compressor is fast and easy to use and the accessories can be used for everything we take on our camping trips..."

"I do like the Viair 400P, it has plenty of air for a 12 volt compressor. The only change I would make is with the hose setup, a simple hose with inflator is all that is needed. The unit is lite weight, compact and a nice unit, complete with its own carry bag a nice feature. My primary use is for my Class C motor home, tires and airbags.
Would I buy again, sure I would and have recommended it to my other RV friends."
