It may not be fair to rate this compressor poorly, because it's a replacement for one that failed, in my opinion, prematurely. We'll see how long this one lasts.

The first compressor that we purchased failing at approximately 5,500 cycles. We disassembled the compressor and found that the motor overheated causing the failure. We purchased a second compressor as a replacement and have approximately 12,000 cycles on this test module.

I bought this Firestone Air Compressor because I thought the one on my Tundra had died. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the old one. The connection to ground was bad. So now I have a spare just in case something happens to the one on my motorhome, which is now 16 years old.
