Rancho RS5000 Shocks & Struts Part #RS5234 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by Jeffrey L (Arden, NC) — Apr 19, 2016 5:39 AM
Replaced original Rancho shocks with 185,000 miles. Old ones had no leaks but rubber bushings shot. New shocks improved ride, reduced rebound, worth every penny.

I purchased these to replace my rusty old stock shocks on my 01 F150 4x4. They were easy to install and look great. The RS5000's helped reduce the bouncing issues on the highway, and does even better with some weight in the bed. I would imagine the higher end ones would work even better, but I'm happy with the performance so far. I would recommend this as a replacement for the stock level equipment.

This is my second set of Ranchos. Unbeatable value, nice -- near stock ride. Maybe a little more busy on a rough road and slightly more harsh than stock. Was on the fence between Bilstein HDs and Ranchos. Ultimately made choice to support a U.S. company! I would recommend them for any F150, but maybe not for a lighter vehicle. Service from Auto Anything exceeded expectations, outstanding!

Replaced the worn out OEM shocks on my 1999 F150 4x4 with these. Love the ride and control they give me after years of riding on worn out shocks. I would definitively buy these again and recommend them to a friend.

This is my 5th set of Rancho RS5000 shocks on two different F150 4x4 trucks. Although not as stiff as the Rancho 9000 (on the highest setting) the rebound control is adequate for most 4x4 outings and high speed interstate travel. The performance of these shocks drops off at about 50,000 miles but still worth the price. The bright red dust boots do a great job of protecting the shocks from mud and road ice chemicals. The most difficult part was removing the old shocks. I live in Wisconsin so that is to be expected. Salt, rust etc... We had to torch off 3 of the 4 top stud bolts. The bottom bolts came off easy. I sprayed penitrating fluid on every connection once a day for the whole week leading up to the Saturday that we installed them. Instulation took about an hour and a half. Truck is like new again. Better control, doesn't roll left to right near as bad when cornering. Very smooth ride.
