Installing these air bags would be a snap except--------the rubber bumpers are removed from the frame above the axle. The upper bracket for the air bags is bolted into the two bolt holes that held the rubber bumpers on. Unfortunately there is NO WAY to lube these two bolts prior to removal. Can you guess what happens when you attempt to remove them? Right, they snap off, dam. Five hours later and many a drill bit and easy out later they are out. Thankfully only one side broke off.

Great product but my first shot at using these is a mixed review. I read the instructions 3 full times before beginning and sounded easy enough. Eventually I got the semi rusted bolts on my truck loose and things went well enough with the installation. I would suggest jacking up the back of your truck for space, I tried for several hours laying under my truck to do it without and it is a fools errand. Don't believe the hype for the little insulation sleeves to protect the air hoses...

GREAT, ONLY TOOK A HOUR OR SO TO INSTALL AND THEY DO JUST WHAT I NEEDED THEM TO DO. I HAVE A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500 4.7 MAGNUM. WITH CAMPER AND GOLF CART IN BACK OF THE TRUCK IM GROSSED OUT AT ABOUT 11500LBS. THESE BAGS LIFTED THE 2 INCH SAG I HAD ON MY TRUCK. I HAD TO USE A HITCH EXTENDER TO LEAVE THE TAIL GATE DOWN AND THAT THREW OFF MY WEIGHTS BUT THESE AIR BAGS TOOK CARE OF MY PROBLEMS. LOVE THEM...THANKS!!

I purchased this kit as the tongue weight of my 18" Alumacraft Magnum fishing boat & trailer caused too much sag on the rear suspension of my '03 Ram 1500. The price was right, shipping was quick, the product was extremely well packaged & and I had it installed in approx 1 1/2 hr. I opted to install a "T" fitting & run a single point valve vs 2 valves as well as wrapping the air tube in wire loom for protection. The kit's been installed for 2 wks now & it hasn't lost a lb. of pressure yet.

I purchased this product to haul water. They work amazing no problems so far after 20+ hauls. Amazing quality and ease of installation. Will recommend to any one.

Since 1995 I have been installing Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kits in all of my trucks. I have always been very satisfied with the performance and quality of them. As long as they remain the same, I will continue to do so.
