I replaced my original shocks with these late in 2013. My driving is 98% highway, I rarely haul anything, and I can't remember the last time I towed anything with this truck. The right rear shock has been leaking oil all over the wheel well area for weeks now and the ride has been terrible. They are getting replaced by some KYB Gas-A-Justs this week. Save your money. These overpriced things might aren't anywhere near worth the money.

I think these are very well built shocks. I had a set of 4600's on my 04 F150 and was going to put the same on my 2010 F150. They had them back ordered for months though so I got a good price on these. I like the ride a lot better than stock but liked the 4600's better. These are a lot firmer. I think the 4600's were a good balance of control and comfort.

I installed Firestone airbags a few months back and really like being able to tow without any problems. One issue I've had to fight was the handling without a tow load. My 2010 Ford F150 Platinum would bounce around a little bit when I had 5-10 psi of air in them. I followed the advice of many Ford truck owners and bought some Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks and Struts. The ride is fantastic and as an added bonus, the airbags work great with the new shocks. Definitely needed if you have airbags.

I used these shocks on the second-highest setting to level my 2012 Ford F-150 FX4. They give the appearance I was looking for any the clearance that I needed to run 34" BFG All-Terrain T/A KO tires. My truck now looks how it should have from the Ford factory. The ride is stiffened up just a bit, which is actually nice because it minimizes body roll.

The first time I ever saw Bilstein shocks was on the very first Chevrolet Z-71 pickups. They came with the Z-71 package, along with skid plates, etc. I noticed right away they were great shocks! The recovery time of these shocks beats all others. and, you hardly ever have to replace one. I'm a long time fan of Bilstein shocks.

I knew the ride would be awesome, but the install didn't go as planned. May sure you get someone who has worked with these before. Everything is tight and quiet now and the lift (level is just what I wanted. I put a set of Bilstein and 3" blocks on the rear and the truck looks great as well as the ride.

Main intent was to for leveling. I felt this was a better alternative than a spacer kit and was a much better investment as it provided new shocks that are superior to the cheap factory shocks (ridiculous for Ford to put these cheap shocks on a truck equipped with a fact. off rd pkg..but thats another story). I set the front to the 3rd highest setting 1.5", it did well however if I had it to do over I would have went to the highest setting 2.25". Ride/handles much better than stock.
