Airbag installed in 1971 Buick GS

I was looking for an easy and quick way to firm up the tired rear springs on my Stage 1 Buick convertible. The AirLlift 1000 kit fit the bill perfectly. Pretty easy to install, once I figured out the trick to getting them inside the springs. I installed them with separate air lines so i can preload the right side for trips to the dragstrip. I normally run them at 5-7 pounds of pressure, which gives me exactly the lift and firmness I wanted. I had the occasion for me and three of my friends (all big guys, at least 1000 pounds combined) in the car for a 100 mile road trip last week, so pumped up the pressure to about 12 pounds and the car rode great. About the only thing I don't like about them is that with anything more than 8-10 pounds in the air bags, and with just me in the car, is very 'bouncy'.

Load Lifter Dual Path

Reviewed By Rick P (TROUTVILLE, VA) Reviewed for a 2012 Dodge Ram —10/6/2017 5:36 AM

The unit works well and went on in a justifiable time. The only conplaint is the air pressure gauges need to be of a higher quality. The gauges will not stay stationary while vehicle is in motion. This was the most annoying part of the unit. Maybe a oil filled gauge would perform better.

Best add-on ever

Reviewed By Stephen W (Altoona, PA) Reviewed for a 2011 Nissan Frontier —10/3/2017 6:32 AM

Have a truck camper on my 2011 Nissan Frontier. Tried super springs first to help support the extra weight, but didn't do the job. Added an extra leaf spring and it still didn't handle or sit level.Put on the air bags and this years back country trip in Utah was Great. First I could level the truck( one side of the camper is heavier than the other) then I could enjoy the backroads without hitting bottom. Air bags is the only way to go, don't waste your money on anything else. Great product.
