Good shock

Reviewed By Kendall J (SAINT LOUIS, MO) Reviewed for a 1980 Chevy C/K 3500 —11/19/2014 3:11 PM

Got a set for my heavily sprung 1 ton dually. The previous shocks were completely shot and provided no damping. The HD Bilsteins fit perfectly and the ride is quite good now. I've run Bilstein HDs on my VW for the last 15 years (never have changed the fronts) and they still perform well.

Don't wait

Reviewed By Robert D (DAVENPORT, IA) Reviewed for a 2012 Chevy Silverado —8/20/2015 7:31 PM

Should of replaced my O.E. front shocks long ago with the 5100 Bilstiens. Day and night difference between the two shocks. My 2012 Silverado 2500HD rides so much better. Harsh jolts are gone. As usual AutoAnything was excellant on processing and shipping.

Superior quality and design more money but worth it

Reviewed By JAMES R (Mesa, AZ) Reviewed for a 1996 Lincoln Town Car —7/8/2015 4:00 PM

I replace my shocks on my Ford Panther chassis every 50k miles. The last two times the shocks were a twin tube design which in the last few years seem that they were barley making it to the 50k as they were leaking and had very poor dampening. The rear shocks on my car have an extremely tight area for the top mount.I would suggest use a regular top nut with lock tight. Use string tide to the top pieces to prevent loosing them between the frame and inner fender well. Then cut the string after.
