Rancho RS5000 Shocks & Struts Reviews

Great all around shock!

Reviewed By Paul O (Centennial, CO) Reviewed for a 1999 Chevy S10 Pickup —7/12/2012 9:02 AM

I searched and searched for shocks, and finally came across the Rancho Rs5000's. I thought they were pretty well priced, and you cant beat the look of these also. So, I read reviews on a bunch of different websites and finally bought these. The installation was pretty easy, (I did it myself) and had no real big problems. It only took about an hour. Now that there on, I LOVE THEM! Real smooth ride!

Gabriel Max Control Shocks & Struts Reviews

Great Ride BUT manufacturer needs QUALITY CONTROL on box content

Reviewed By Garot P (Shawnee, KS) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Astro —7/9/2014 10:43 AM

I bought 2 full sets for my vans. Went to have 1st set installed... NO hardware kits in either front shock boxes & 1 also missing the coveted 'Max Control' sticker (wah). The threading on the Gabriels shaft is completely different than the OEM shaft threads, so had to get 2 stupid nuts from autoparts store in order to install them at all! ON top of that, the hardware kit also contains new washers & bushings- that was ALL missing. So, had to install the NEW shocks w/ the OLD bushings!!!

Replaced original Bilstein shocks on 2006 Tacoma with 102,000 mi

Reviewed By Dan C (Olathe, KS) Reviewed for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma —11/22/2014 8:10 AM

I definitely could have kept original shocks on for a while yet, but thought there might be some lack of performance. I am the only owner of this truck. These shocks have greatly improved the cornering and I can feel a much quicker response to bumps. Labor was $500 with an alignment, so it was not an inexpensive decision. I am extremely satisfied with the investment since I treat this truck as if I will keep it indefinitely.
