Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit Reviews

so far so good

Reviewed By Jerome L. E (Wickliffe, OH) Reviewed for a 2002 Dodge Dakota —12/27/2015 6:31 AM

was not as easy to install as i thought. on the 2002 Dodge Dakota it is NOT no drill and it rides very close to the inside wheel well back only about 1/8-1/4 inch from hitting it. so close that if you need to replace of check the air line on the bag you must remove the bag. the picture is also wrong. it shows the mount just behind the axle on the spring. it goes OVER the axle which is much BETTER. So over all happy. have 600 pounds in the bed for winter. can not even tell it's there.

Late arrival

Reviewed By Bryan S (Avon, IN) Reviewed for a 2013 Ford F-150 —7/30/2016 10:53 AM

Didnt have time to install thisnin cab before trip to Holiday World. But i did install while down there for the week. Install before you haul so much less stressful to adjust air pressure on the fly. Was shot in dark on air pressure needed to offseat 600 pounds of gear and a 5000 pound travel trailer. On the way down had to stop and raise pressure another 20psi. Was able to adjust for rough road construction on the way back as rough pavement occurred. Totally worth the piece of mind.

Amazing addition

Reviewed By Glen H (SUWANEE, GA) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —4/14/2016 4:01 PM

I added this to my 2011 F150 with the Firestone airbags. GREAT product and works perfect. I had 2 installation issues to overcome. First was the location to place it. I mounted the compressor to the under side of the bed, directly behind the spare tire. It's well out of the weather and well protected. Second was power supply to the controller. Key point: use the exact gauge wire as any other accessories you have connect (aka: amplifier, etc.).
