Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit Reviews

Very easy

Reviewed By Clarence A (Port Angeles, WA) Reviewed for a 1996 Dodge Dakota —8/6/2015 9:27 PM

Very easy to install,I installed the air bags behind the rear axle for better all round clearance and clearing the fuel tank for the drilling of the frame mounts. Also mounting the bags to the rear give them a mech advantage for lifting the truck due to the springs being longer to the rear side of the axle. Also ran my air line inside wire loom sheathing for protection . I do wish I would have ordered my compressor kit at the same time. Hope it's as good as my lift kit was!

Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit Reviews

Well worth it

Reviewed By Pierre D (WASHOUGAL, WA) Reviewed for a 2000 Dodge Dakota —5/19/2015 8:15 PM

Bought the Firestone product for the times I load my pickup up with , everything from gravel to tools. Made a huge difference not only with load but also with out a load. Handles a lot better. Installation wasn't to bad , delivery time was decent. Over all it was well worth it.

Air Lift SmartAir Reviews

A professonal quality product

Reviewed By Alan H (Tyler, TX) Reviewed for a 2004 Dodge Dakota —7/1/2007 2:31 PM

Don't by intimidated by all the wires, everything is labeled where it goes. I made a bracket to mount the compressor and solenoid. Without rushing it took most of day to install the air bags and Smartair Controller. With it installed for a couple weeks now, it made a huge improvement when towing a 16' utility trailer, backend doesn't sag and less bounce from bumps in the road when towing. It also reduced the rear-end of the Dakota stepping out when going through a curve that has bumps or washboard in it when empty. Was initially concerned about the price, but it's much better than overload (heavy duty) springs.
