"If your like me, I spent a lot of time researching shocks online and grappling over what to buy. Save yourself alot of waisted time by purchasing the Nitro 8000's, they ride very comparable to the factory shocks, you don't have to worry about sacrificing the ride. My opinion is the Nitro 8000 is a great value. As far as the installation, I had a tire shop do that for me, at a cost of $20.00 per/shock, they said that the installation was very simple, the new shocks bolted up just perfect. Stop waisting your time like I did, just buy the shocks. On a side note, AutoAnything's service was above board, and their pricing was very competitive, not to mention the rebate offer by Skyjacker." —Mark P from Lemoore, CA bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
"Dr.sirs thanks for my new shocks I put them on right away. however I did not test them until the whole family was with me. I was not impressed the ride was the same as the old shocks. Maybe I needed bigger ones for my ford excursion since it is a heavy vehicle. thanks M " —Melvin H from Raleigh, NC bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
"Mounting bushings were difficult on the rear shocks on
the Excursion, also one bushing was missing." —Kevin S from Sidney, NE bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
"When I tried to put the shocks on, the top bushings would not work on the shock mount stud with the steel sleeve inserted. So I put them on without the steel sleeve and with in 300 miles the bushing has disintegrated. The shock works fine but I have to purchase high quality urethane bushings as replacements. The bottom bushings are holding up fine." —Brian J from El Monte, CA bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
"I replaced a set of Rancho 9000's and think these are a better ride, but I think I will go with airbags next time. I pull a 22' trailer with farm equipment a lot and want something that will hold up loaded and be smooth without the trailer. I guess I want the best of both worlds." —Charles R from Boynton Beach, FL bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
"Thanks for making the experience easy! The shocks arrived very quickly and the installation was pretty straight forward dispite no instructions. The shocks are excellent!" —Lynn G from Batavia, IL bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
"Purchased a Add a Leaf spring for my excursion. I only had 1" of spring travel before hitting the bump stop. Adding the spring increased my travel to 3". That set my suspension to a nice ride height. No other changes were made. Make sure to order new U bolts." —Bill L from Fords, NJ bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2000 Ford Excursion.
