Air Lift SmartAir Reviews

Air Lift SmartAir with firestone Ride-Rite air bags

Reviewed By Robert E (Lindenhurst, NY) Reviewed for a 2008 Dodge Ram —3/28/2012 3:27 PM

Automatic leveling system adds and releases air to rear bags as needed to level truck when hauling a load. The system works perfectly. Keeps the truck absolutely level. I think the only thing I would add is a gauge and a manual over-ride switch. I used the wire that came with the kit to make the truck kneel to help with un hooking the trailers. It took all day to install, but I put the wiring and the air lines in a wire loom case to protect them. It helps to pre-assemble the air bags. I used the Ride-Rite air bags from firestone and the bolted rightup with no problems. Had a few 1000# loads in the truck so far and it rides alot better. I still have to try the trailer.

VIAIR 400 Series Portable Air Compressors Reviews

No complaints so far

I had a chance to use the 400P Auto for the first time after airing down my 33" tires. The 400P Auto comes with a pistol grip nozzle. The only thing about the pistol grip is that you have to hold it down to get air. Unlike other nozzles that just lock on to your stem. The air pressure gauge gave me an accurate reading while filling the tires. I aired down to around 20lbs and it took me about 10 minutes to air up all 4 tires to 40lbs. The unit automatically shuts off when not adding air to the tire which helps with not overtaxing the unit when moving between tires, etc. And auto starts up when nozzle lever is pressed. The unit is relatively quiet and was not very hot to the touch after filling up. I struggled with trying to attach the quick connect pieces but maybe that is just an issue for my hands.
