"Took about 1.5 hr to install. Would have been easier if the U bolts would have been shorter so a deep well socket could take it all the way down. Had to use a wrench for the last quarter inch. Would recommend cutting all the long ends off the U and J bolts so there is less chance of weeds getting hung up on them. It was a fairly easy system to install with just hand tools and a small angle grinder." —Kevin G from Hutchinson, KS bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"love it" —Lisa W from Sunshine, LA bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"I'm not especially mechanical but this air bag system was not hard at all to install. Although the instructions could have been better written, they were not too difficult to figure out.My local installer wanted $450 (bag system included) to install these for me. It took me 3 hours on Sunday afternoon to save a couple hundred bucks. I enjoyed a beer and a cigar and saved myself some money. It was an enjoyable day, really. So far the system is working nicely. No leaks and no problems! Go for it!" —Alex C from Scottsdale, AZ bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"I recently bought the Load Lifter 5000 kit with a single stage compressor for my 2010 FX4 F-150. First off, the airbags work!! Towing a 7,000 trailer was a lot more stable. It also made setting the tongue weight with a distribution hitch very easy. The basic kit - without compressor is also very easy to install. The Bad . . .1) I had to buy additional airline(cheap enough at any place that services trucks with airbrakes) and the snap in fittings are very hard to get sealed. I would have preferred a better connection method.2) I would recmmend tying the low pressure switch into a keyed source of power. They tell you B+. This is a bad idea because if you have a small leak, the system will drain your battery . . . Don't ask how I know.3) They warn you about not extending the bags over 10", but do not provide an axle strap of any kind. If you ever plan on putting your truck up on a lift (for service) you will need to restrain the axle somehow. I am still trying to find axle straps for a stock hieght truck.4) Finally, I am not sure why anyone is still using mechanical guages - especially when they already have a pressure sensor in the system. An electircal guage would reduce the number of fittings, and potential for leaks." —Michael C from Dearborn, MI bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"Product does exactly as described. No more sagging when I load the 900 lb. 4 wheeler into the bed. Much improved handling on & off the road. Ran the air lines out thru the license plate holes. Easily accessible & no drilling required. Installation took about 2 hours with a little help.Should have gotten these when I bought the truck new. Would recommend to anybody. Shipping from manufacturer was pretty quick & all needed parts were included." —Isaac S from Conroe, TX bought a Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"I did not have any problems with the instalation all of the parts were complete. I jacked up the truck and installed a safety jack under the axle and removed the rear tire for ease of instalation. I must not have read the instructions but the 3 inch excess on the axle ubolts caused them to become incontact with the frame when under load once I cut off the excess all worked as I had planned. I only use 10 psi in the air bags to help with my 5th wheel trailer that I pull. The 1o psi has lifted the truck level with the front for an increase of 2 inches under load. The trailer I pull is 7500 lbs and its a nice combination. I like the air bag system I would use this one again." —Michael S from Pocatello, ID bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"Was easy to put on only trouble I had was I didn't have the right drill bit because it said "no drilling" but that was the only trouble I had." —Chrismon A from Greensboro, NC bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"I was going to have a local shop do the install but after reading the instructions I realized it was a job for home. No special tools required. Helps to have a sturdy jack and a good level work area. Took just over 2 hours and I'd rate myself as less than a weekend mechanic." —Gary H from Woodside, CA bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"Looks like a quality-made, well-thought-out design, installed easily in just over an hour, no drilling. I am towing a heavy 34' Airstream with a 2010 F150, and these restored my ride height to proper specs with the trailer attached." —Patrick O from Sault Sainte Marie, MI bought a Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"This is my second Firstone Air Bag kit. The first kit was on my other truck. I drive a Ford F-150 Lariat Crew Cab 4x4. Adding the air bags gives me the hauling capacity of an F-250 with the luxury and ride of an F-150. They do the job they are intended for--level the truck when hauling heavy loads. I own a construction company and pull large trailers everyday. Extremely durable, never any problems." —Thomas W from Northfield, MN bought a Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
