"Looks like a quality-made, well-thought-out design, installed easily in just over an hour, no drilling. I am towing a heavy 34' Airstream with a 2010 F150, and these restored my ride height to proper specs with the trailer attached." —Patrick O from Sault Sainte Marie, MI bought a Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, SuperCrew.
"I purchased these air bags to lift my truck while towing my 2011 Outback travel trailer. Prior to having the air bags the truck sagged just a little bit. With the bags, I run about 70 to 80lbs of air in both, and the truck or trailer does not sag at all. Installation was pretty easy. Great Product." —Jim V from West Creek , NJ bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, XLT.
"The air bags work great. The instuctions were somewhat vague if you had never worked with air bags before. I got through it okay and was satisfied with the results. I put a Tee in my airline so I wouldn't have to inflate both sides. The tee was difficult to find in my city so I wish Auto Anything would offer the item. Otherwise very satisfied. "Took about 1.5 hr to install. Would have been easier if the U bolts would have been shorter so a deep well socket could take it all the way down. Had to use a wrench for the last quarter inch. Would recommend cutting all the long ends off the U and J bolts so there is less chance of weeds getting hung up on them. It was a fairly easy system to install with just hand tools and a small angle grinder." —Kevin G from Hutchinson, KS bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, XLT.
"I own a f150 and it went from sagging in the back on a heavy load to level. Love the bags would buy again A++++++" —Michael E from Fields, OR bought a Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, SuperCrew.
"Product does exactly as described. No more sagging when I load the 900 lb. 4 wheeler into the bed. Much improved handling on & off the road. Ran the air lines out thru the license plate holes. Easily accessible & no drilling required. Installation took about 2 hours with a little help.
Should have gotten these when I bought the truck new. Would recommend to anybody. Shipping from manufacturer was pretty quick & all needed parts were included." —Isaac S from Conroe, TX bought a Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, SuperCrew.
"I'm not especially mechanical but this air bag system was not hard at all to install. Although the instructions could have been better written, they were not too difficult to figure out.
My local installer wanted $450 (bag system included) to install these for me. It took me 3 hours on Sunday afternoon to save a couple hundred bucks. I enjoyed a beer and a cigar and saved myself some money. It was an enjoyable day, really.
So far the system is working nicely. No leaks and no problems! Go for it!" —Alex C from Scottsdale, AZ bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, XLT.
"Had to do some modification to get it to go on, is not as custom as a system as they rate it . With the help of other reviews , it got me through with tips and tricks , I still enjoy the system though." —Leah H from Tiffin, OH bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, Platinum.
"Was easy to put on only trouble I had was I didn't have the right drill bit because it said "no drilling" but that was the only trouble I had." —Chrismon A from Greensboro, NC bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150, XLT.
"I recently bought the Load Lifter 5000 kit with a single stage compressor for my 2010 FX4 F-150. First off, the airbags work!! Towing a 7,000 trailer was a lot more stable. It also made setting the tongue weight with a distribution hitch very easy. The basic kit - without compressor is also very easy to install.
The Bad . . .
1) I had to buy additional airline(cheap enough at any place that services trucks with airbrakes) and the snap in fittings are very hard to get sealed. I would have preferred a better connection method.
2) I would recmmend tying the low pressure switch into a keyed source of power. They tell you B+. This is a bad idea because if you have a small leak, the system will drain your battery . . . Don't ask how I know.
3) They warn you about not extending the bags over 10", but do not provide an axle strap of any kind. If you ever plan on putting your truck up on a lift (for service) you will need to restrain the axle somehow. I am still trying to find axle straps for a stock hieght truck.
4) Finally, I am not sure why anyone is still using mechanical guages - especially when they already have a pressure sensor in the system. An electircal guage would reduce the number of fittings, and potential for leaks." —Michael C from Dearborn, MI bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"Brackets are 1/4 Plate, not wimpy by any means. All hardware was included. Bolted in well - no under the truck drilling, actually no drilling at all. My f-150 rides great but when I pull trailers with maybe a little more weight than normal it squats really bad. It looks as loaded as it is. This is the fix. Still a pull loaded a little heavy from time to time but the truck does not show it. This Kit did exactly what I was wanting. The only concern I had was over extending the bags. I ended up installing limit chains. Dont really know if its needed but they did note overextension voids warrenty. chains look ok, work fine.
