Simple Install

Reviewed By Zach S (KANNAPOLIS, NC) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —6/30/2017 4:32 AM

Very easy to install with hand tools. Instructions say to grind off a bolt in order to attach the smaller bracket clamp but instead, I took the bolt out then installed the clamp then reinstalled the bolt. Works just as fine. Kit DOES NOT come with a "Tee" adapter to connect both sides of air lines into one line, so I went to Lowe's and got one for $3. Checked for leaks and there are none. Ride does stiffen when not hauling but I like it. Will be put to use when towing our 4800lb travel trailer.

Nice product

Reviewed By Glen H (SUWANEE, GA) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —4/8/2016 9:50 AM

I just installed these on a 2011 F150. I pull a 32' travel trailer and was amazed at the performance. I added the compressor kit and mounted that under the bed at the spare tire. Took a 600+ mile trip the next day and there was a huge difference. Great product!! Install was a breeze.

2005 Chevy Avalanche

Reviewed By Charles C (Katy, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —11/17/2008 7:37 PM

The controller was not a problem to install once I got some clarifications from the tech department (not available on weekends) and some hints from an Avalanche owners website. The instructions would be better if it offered some recommendations on where to mount the compressor and where to pass the lines through the firewall; I understand these are vehicle specific, but general recommendations could be given (i.e. I thought the compressor was meant to be mounted under the hood (safe from the elements), but there was not enough air- line in the kit for this. The tech support mentioned that it is water resistant and a lot of people mount it above the spare tire...that is what I ended up doing, but hints like that should be in the instruction manual.
