Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit Reviews

Firestone bags

Reviewed By Mike P (ESTES PARK, CO) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —10/3/2015 10:04 AM

I put these on my Ford F-150 eco boost to assist in taking the bounce out of pulling a 36 foot travel trailer. At 40 lbs of pressure the truck is level and the bounce while going over bumps has greatly lessened, the recovery occurs much faster. Though we have only used them twice on short trips I am sure they will provide for a more relaxed drive on long trips. Install went fairly straight forward though, had to refer to the instructions on auto anything as the product did not contain them.

Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit Reviews

Helpful tool

The air bags are great additon to my truck, I use my f150 to haul utility trailers and have loaded it up with wood. It was straight forward install and fit well with existing space.I added a compressor system to adjust air for heavier loads from ease of cab. It does firm up the ride abit, but worth it IMO. Nice to have when towing and loading up bed with weight. Happy with purchase and quick shipping. Installed in about 3 hours taking my time.

Air Lift Load Controller II Reviews

2005 Chevy Avalanche

Reviewed By Charles C (Katy, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —11/17/2008 7:37 PM

The controller was not a problem to install once I got some clarifications from the tech department (not available on weekends) and some hints from an Avalanche owners website. The instructions would be better if it offered some recommendations on where to mount the compressor and where to pass the lines through the firewall; I understand these are vehicle specific, but general recommendations could be given (i.e. I thought the compressor was meant to be mounted under the hood (safe from the elements), but there was not enough air- line in the kit for this. The tech support mentioned that it is water resistant and a lot of people mount it above the spare tire...that is what I ended up doing, but hints like that should be in the instruction manual.
