Removed struts and had a shop compress the springs and replace strut. I then reinstalled units on truck. Note: I elected to install with 1" lift position. Actual lift was 2 1/4". I removed struts again and had shop compress spring and reposition snap ring at stock height. Reinstalled units. Final actual height increased by 1", exactly where I had wanted it. Ride is firm but compliant. Very pleased. Note 2: one strut came without the necessary hardware. Took several calls to get it sorted.
