I have been using KYB for years on different types of cars. Most recently, I am restoring a 95 Thunderbird. What a difference from the originals.

My 2012 Escape was high in rear so I purchased H&R lowering springs. I had to include fronts in the purchase because thats the only way to buy. Advertised drop was one and one half inch. After installing real springs the drop in rear was almost two and one half inches. Disappointed in how much drop it gave me. Unable to line up rear camber with that much drop and headlights cannot be adjusted down enough. Difficult to get factory springs out, don't try this at home.
