Gabriel Ultra ReadyMount Spring & Strut Assembly Reviews

Nice...

Wow, I am impressed. Replaced front struts. I mean I had struts with 85K miles on them to be replaced. First thing I noticed was the height looking over the steering wheel. I was actually sitting higher off the ground. Then I noticed the smoothness of the ride, a gentle bouncyness on the bad roads in my area, instead of the previous bumpy bumpy trip.

Gabriel Ultra, front and rear struts

With a basic spring compressor, swapping springs from old struts to new ones was pretty straight-forward. Removal of old struts and installation of new ones was also pretty easy and straight-forward. Somewhat time consuming, but not difficult. Should have ordered the complete units (struts with springs, and base plates, bearing plates for the front), and will if I ever do this again. Would have saved time and been better to have all new parts.
