skyjacker stabilizes my steering

Reviewed By Thomas B (Rockville, VA) Reviewed for a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee —12/22/2010 11:57 AM

After receiving my skyjacker steering stabilizer I could not wait to get them on and try them. The installation was a little more difficult than I had planned. The old one had been on my Jeep Grand Cherokee for 15+ years and required me to press it off. The bushing that was furnished with the kit also had to be slightly modified( no big deal for either). Once I had everything in place, my test drive had to wait due to 5 inches of snow. No need to drive it I did not need to. A couple of days later I was completely surprised to feel the difference. The old stabilizer was frozen and was causing a jerky motion in my steering. This new stabilizer has made a world of difference. The steering is now smooth and even. I don't feel the car wandering from side to side. I am totally satisfied with my new Skyjacker Steering Stabilizer.

Looks good now but was a pain to put on.

Reviewed By Chad H (Cedar City, UT) Reviewed for a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee —3/31/2006 6:26 AM

The instructions that came with the kit said nothing about the rear assembly for the jeep. I figured out how it should go but I was not for sure. Since I needed my jeep asap and it was a weekend so nobody was in anywhere to give some tech support. Do to that fact I wasted a whole day on nothing and ended up paying someone to do it in the end. If the instructions where correct, I would not of had to do this.
