Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks & Struts Reviews

Bilstein 5100s won't leave you disappointed.

Reviewed By Thomas K (KELLER, TX) Reviewed for a 2004 Jeep Wrangler —1/16/2017 8:39 PM

I purchased these shocks for a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. It still had the original oem shocks on it. They were dead as a door nail. So we're the front sway bar bushings and links. After installing the Bilstein 5100s and addressing the sway bar issue, the Jeep handled so much better. It was outright squirrelly to drive, before. Now I have complete confidence in it. The handling is predictable and the ride comfort is improved. These shocks also improved handling with trailer towing.

Not quite level

Installed these on my Wrangler and still not quite level. Need to be a little thicker to do the job.

Better than OEM for New Style Colorado/Canyon

Reviewed By Robert B (Houston, TX) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —3/10/2017 4:47 PM

Compared to stock - The street ride of the Eibachs is a world better. The rebound control is excellent, and the compression does not "jolt". Small bumps are still noticeable at non-highway speeds, but the jolting is more subdued. This isn't a cushy shock, I would still call it firm (compression could be softer, still) . They feel engineered for the vehicle, civilized. Versus the Bilstein 4600's on my full size Silverado, these are a little less stiff, but stiffer than KYB Gas-a-justs.
