Bilstein Comfort Shocks & Struts Reviews

Superior quality and design more money but worth it

Reviewed By JAMES R (Mesa, AZ) Reviewed for a 1996 Lincoln Town Car —7/8/2015 4:00 PM

I replace my shocks on my Ford Panther chassis every 50k miles. The last two times the shocks were a twin tube design which in the last few years seem that they were barley making it to the 50k as they were leaking and had very poor dampening. The rear shocks on my car have an extremely tight area for the top mount.I would suggest use a regular top nut with lock tight. Use string tide to the top pieces to prevent loosing them between the frame and inner fender well. Then cut the string after.

KYB Excel-G Shocks & Struts Reviews

OEM quality

Reviewed By Anatoly G (Los Angeles, CA) Reviewed for a 1998 Chevy Metro —10/5/2015 8:29 PM

KYB is the Japanese company specializing in shock absorbers and supplying original parts to a number of car manufacturers. The KYB front struts for Chevrolet Metro that I purchased were made in Japan. Installation was straightforward. The enclosed pictographic installation instructions weren't very intelligible, but they are not really necessary. The struts replaced the 17-year old factory set with 212K miles on it, which was still working well, but one unit developed oil leak. They work fine.
