VIAIR 70P Portable Air Compressor Reviews

70P Portable Air Compressor

Reviewed By Hammond H (Canton, MI) Reviewed for a 2009 Mazda RX-8 —8/8/2009 7:31 AM

Compressor much better than the one that came with my expensive sports coupe and the others I have tried over the years. 70P still vibrates and creeps when on the ground but that is simply due to its low mass. Much much quieter than any other portable. Much quicker too. Nice.

Very pleased

Reviewed By Brandon n (Ventura, CA) Reviewed for a 2003 Ford Ranger —8/19/2015 9:09 PM

This works very good. I have 265/75 r16 all terain tires and the max psi is 44 and within a minute it pumped it up from 30 to 52 and I realized its too high. This pumps fast. The gauge is 6 or 8 pounds too high if I remember correctly. So just subtract 6 or 8 or have a tire pressure gauge handy. It's not loud at all and doesn't shake very much. If you have to extend a long distance (about to the back of a truck) have someone hold the compressor or figure a way to hold it down due to coil hose

Awesome portable compressor for the money!

Reviewed By JEFFREY B (Marlborough, MA) —6/2/2015 12:11 PM

I've owned and used (and worn out) numerous portable small compressors over the years (I'm 66). I must say that the VIAIR 85P is the best small compressor I've ever used. It is light in weight but operates very quickly and reasonably quietly. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a small portable compressor for their automobile.
