2011, 2008 Tacoma

These are very good shocks. I have installed these on three different tacoma 4x4s. 2, 2011s and 1, 2008. These tacomas are used 50/50 on and off road for oilfield work. i use the first setting up from the bottom to level out an otherwise stock height truck to improve ground clearance and appearance.

Solid Product But Overall Specs are a Bit Off

Reviewed By David Z (Encinitas, CA) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma —6/27/2011 9:52 AM

Just had my Gabriel Ultra Shocks installed on my 1997 Volvo stationwagon. Must say, the car ride's like a dream--definite upgrade from my old beat up factory shocks. I had my longtime mechanic install them, and he said they fit good but one of the shocks had to be shaved/cut/altered in order to make room for the perfect fit. So, Gabriel should be more mindful of their specs for different YMM's. However, I'm happy overall. We'll see how they hold up. Thank you AutoAnything!

Fits 1998 Toyota Tacoma 2WD (NON prerunner)

Reviewed By Quinn B (ROCK ISLAND, IL) Reviewed for a 1998 Toyota Tacoma —8/31/2015 9:19 AM

Installation of the rear shocks was super easy and took all but 5 minutes per side. The new shocks appear to be good quality, I guess time will tell. My old shocks were completely shot. The ride quality is only slightly better (less swaying side-to-side)and it looks like the rear rides an inch or so higher than before. Note that I still need to change my front shocks so that may further improve ride quality.
