I installed the Firestone RIDE-RITE 2304 spring kit onto my 2004 Tacoma D-cab truck- and they absolutely exceeded my expectations... I have a 1"(spacer)lift in the front, and a 1.5" (shackle) lift in the rear along with a slightly larger 75 series set of Yokohama all-terrian tires. I wasnt happy with the "level" look of my lift, so I asked a few RIDE-RITE dealers if the kit will give me the rear "lift" I was looking for. To my surprise, they all said "no", so I abandoned the whole idea. TIME PASSED- and I installed the bags on my vehicle for towing purposes, and guess what? It does lift the rear. If you are looking for a product to slightly lift (1-2") your vehicle's rear AND improve its ride, then look no further... I've always been a big fan of FIRESTONE air bags- used to lower full-size Chevy trucks and never had a problem with them. The only problem I found with this kit is: I have a DOUBLE-CAB Tacoma, and in order to mount the top bracket (which hold the top part of the airbag), I had to cut a slot into the chassis in order to place and tighten the bolts. This problem only occured on the driver side- the passenger side was fine. The instructions mention nothing about this alteration, perhaps because the shortened bed the d-cab has, compared to the standard pre-runner bedsize? Just thought I'd mention that- EXTREMEMLY SATISFIED with my purchase.
