nice product

These spring installed fairly easily - I was able to use 2 large pairs of channellocks to compress them during installation but a large C clamp would have been nice. Taking my time to make sure everything was alligned & so as not to lose an eye they took about 3 hrs to install. Once installed they raised the rear of the truck about 2.25". When I hoooked up my 5k lb trailer it dropped the rear of the truck almost as much as when the springs weren't on so I was a bit concerned, but after driving down the street I noticed the difference immediately, no more wallowing over bumps and they seem to help a little with sway. The rear end is deffinately stiffer when the truck is empty - I get a little hop over highway expansion joints. I'll probably install a front leveling kit to get the truck leveled off again. Component quality looks good, let's see how they hold up.

Just what I wanted

The springs are exactly as others have described and are basically an extra spring that helps level out the bed of your truck when it has extra weight in it. I put them on a 2006 tundra. They are extremely easy to install I think I installed them in about an hour for both sides. They have a little bit of adjustment so that you can choose the weight at which the springs get engaged. For the price I don't think you can beat them.

Prevents bottoming out

Reviewed By Thomas B (Denver, CO) Reviewed for a 2004 Chevy Colorado —4/12/2015 8:31 PM

Bought to assist worn springs from too many loads of sand. Wasn't looking to lift but it did add about 3" or so. A lot less expensive than replacing the stock spring pack and used spring packs are tough to find. Lots of wd40 and a breaker bar to remove the 10 year old u-bolts and spring bolts. Need decent jack stands and floor jack and a 1/2" torque wrench. Nice message on the back of the instructions.
