2001 Jetta VR6

Reviewed By James E (Minnetonka, MN) Reviewed for a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta —6/4/2009 5:48 PM

I researched the top brands of springs and decided on the good name of Eibach for my 2001 VR6 Jetta. These springs replace a very well known brand the previous owner installed. The ride quality was abysmal although the cornering was outstanding, the ride was very harsh. The Minnesota winters {pot Holes) and ice ridges were felt on any outing. I choose the second degree of lowering and stiffness: the first degree is nearly a stock ride height with a better cornering factor. The second degree lowers the vehicle about 1.5 to 2 inches. I am totally satisfied with both performance and ride characteristics of these springs. I do not feel every cement divider in the road and missing asphalt pieces are not teeth jarring experiences. And, it corners like a cue ball through a drain pipe, fantastic!! I would recommend these unconditionally to the members of my VW club or anyone who drives with spirit and elan.

Purchased these for my 04 VW Jetta GLI 1.8T

Reviewed By RON R (TRABUCO CANYON, CA) Reviewed for a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta —3/6/2015 7:20 PM

After much research I decided to go with TEIN S Tech's and I am very happy that I did. The stock GLI is already 1 inch lower than a non-GLI Jetta and so since I was looking for about another inch these came close enough at .7 inches for the GLI. 1.7 for the other but .7 for the GLI. After everything settled in I had the desired drop. I paired these with the Koni STRT struts and car handles great now. It handled poor before because the struts were shot. Also purchased a suspension renewal kit.
