Gabriel Guardian ReadyMount Spring & Strut Assembly Reviews

Installed Quite Easily

Reviewed By Bret D (WEIMAR, TX) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy HHR —11/29/2016 1:48 PM

Con: The struts were a bit scuffed, but by the way they were packaged I am surprised they weren't in worse shape. (They were just flopping around in the box, and had torn partially through the cardboard.) Only one locknut was missing, so I used one of the original nuts. Pro: The strut was a perfect fit, and the ride quality is excellent. There was a section of my country road that that I had to negotiate at 20 MPH. Now I can go 30 through that same section with ease.

Certianly Chinese product

Reviewed By Colt G (GRANITE CITY, IL) Reviewed for a 2007 Mazda 3 —10/27/2016 3:10 PM

The biggest downfall of these struts are the bearing mounts that come with them. They ship with some cheap Chinese bolts(please don't use these crap bolts) installed losely in the mounts. This caused the threaded holes in the monts to break loose from the mounts. I had to glue the threaded inserts back on just to be able to install the struts.... so far for the week they have been installed I don't have any issues but the Koni struts that I replaced were certainly built better than these.
