Cmpression and Rebound Rates
The compression rate is very soft, softer than the old shocks. I can compress the shock with two hands held straight out on outstretched arms, it is that soft. Consequently, when steering suddenly, the vehicle "lurches" opposite the turn, more that the original shocks did. When the rebound rate is set to its stiffest setting, it pretty much stays there, and "tail wag" is minimized. I spoke with KYB before this purchase, but a soft compression rate did not come up.
