"The Nitro 8000's were easy to install and do a great job on my Dodge Ram 2500 4WD." —David B from Las Vegas, NV bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Dodge Ram.
"I installed these shocks on a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 full size pickup. the shocks have a great ride, werre easy to install and the red boots and lettering on the shocks perfectly match my red truck." —Jerry H from Florence, AL bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Dodge Ram, 1500, 4WD.
"After I ordered 4 shocks, my order arrived earlier than expected by a day or two. I inspected the order as I do with everything bought online and even performed a visual and tape measure test fit prior to installing.
Installation of these shocks was easy and went smoothly, taking only about 30 minutes per shock (no lifts or other special facility used - just me - 55 years old - crawling on the ground underneath my truck). I did have an issue with removal of one of the old front shocks - the nut was rusted frozen on the old shock and I had to cut the shaft to remove it ... but that is not a hit against these shocks. They look good, and I could feel a difference in the ride immediately. Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised at that because I replaced original factory shocks with 118K miles on them.
I did notice that the factory shocks removed from my 1-Ton Dodge pickup had a thicker piston shaft than these I bought. Had I known that earlier, I probably would have bought the Hydro 8000 or 9000 instead. These are working fine for now, and with the factory rebate received, paid less than $25 per shock ... can't beat that for value." —Larry W from Poulsbo, WA bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Dodge Ram.
"I noticed a difference in handling and ride immediately, with 80,000 miles on my Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. I was only disappointed that there was no instruction manual for installation of the bushings and boots. You have to use dish soap on the bushings to get them in, the rubber first, then the steel sleeve, and make sure the boot at the top of the shock is locked in its groove, or it won't seal properly. Otherwise, they feel great, the ride is a bit stiffer, less body roll, and much better on washboards. One reviewer said it would raise ride height, which is ridiculous." —Scott T from Santa Fe, NM bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Dodge Ram.
"Received on time.Did have one that leaked but was replaced promtley.Great shock for the price.Would recommend to a freind." —Frank C from Nobleboro, ME bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Dodge Ram, 1500, 4WD.
