My 2004 Chevy Silverado 4x4 rides like a new truck!

After 162,000 miles it was way past time for new shocks. My truck would bounce 2-3 times after a rolling hump in the road and turns were tough to navigate under power. This series of truck has always had a very smooth ride and great handling. When I ordered the 4600 series I really wanted the 5100 series because I was afraid of losing that smoothness, and I didn't want yellow and blue shocks on my dk grey truck. No worries though...my new Bilsteins are smooth as silk on the open road and they work great over bumpy roads as well...just like a new truck, and you can't even see the yellow color except from the rear. Now I can't wait to get the new tires on it!

I ordered a pair of these shock absorbers (sometimes called "spring dampeners")as one of my christmas presents. I installed hem on the front of an '03 Chev 4X4 1/2 ton ext. cab PU with 200,000 miles. The truck now handles like new again. I installed Bilsteins on all 4 wheels of a 68 VW Campmobus. They made the camper handle like a sprots car. I've been sold on Bilsteins since. Yes they are a little pricey but they're worth it. I'll buy 2 for the rear of my PU soon. HMPIII
