Rancho RS5000 Shocks & Struts Reviews

Great product

Reviewed By Edward R (POTTSTOWN, PA) Reviewed for a 2001 Ford F-150 —2/4/2016 6:27 AM

I purchased these to replace my rusty old stock shocks on my 01 F150 4x4. They were easy to install and look great. The RS5000's helped reduce the bouncing issues on the highway, and does even better with some weight in the bed. I would imagine the higher end ones would work even better, but I'm happy with the performance so far. I would recommend this as a replacement for the stock level equipment.

Every 50,000 miles

Since I first purchased my truck in 2004, I've changed the shocks every 50,000 miles "just because" and have been using Gabriels as they have never failed and provide reliability at an affordable price. 2001 F-150 King Ranch / 128,700 miles

So far, nice ride. Hope to be better control in cross winds.

I put these on the front and back of my extended cab F-150. The backs were a real pain to install. They use a 6 mm allen on the rod to hold it while tightening the nut. Iffen you ain't got a ratcheting box wrench, you are in trouble. Also I don't know how they expect you to use a torque wrench on the nut. The fronts were easier because it was more accessible.
