"The bilsteins were easy to install (about 30 min) and they work great. They minimized a lot of body roll and bouncing. I haven't taken them off road yet though. We'll see if they're too stiff..." —Robert L from Richlands, NC bought a Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-150, Light-duty, 4WD.
"I replaced my shocks in February. Only felt slightly better than the Bilstein's I took off. I was bummed. Gone for 4 months, returned, bummed all over. What happened? Did Bilstein change quality for quantity? Ex sprint car driver I know shocks. July I called Bilstein, found right person. The 24-024785 works on all 97-04 2WD F-150's Easy to stock. The correct front shock is a 24-185189 fits Expeditions,SCC. Called AA got manager; we talked, good customer, settled 50/50. The 189s are on, AWESOME!" —Anthony C from Desoto, TX bought a Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-150.
"The most difficult part was removing the old shocks. I live in Wisconsin so that is to be expected. Salt, rust etc... We had to torch off 3 of the 4 top stud bolts. The bottom bolts came off easy. I sprayed penitrating fluid on every connection once a day for the whole week leading up to the Saturday that we installed them. Instulation took about an hour and a half. Truck is like new again. Better control, doesn't roll left to right near as bad when cornering. Very smooth ride." —Eric M from Oregon, WI bought a Rancho RS5000 Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-150.
"The shocks look great and smoothed out the ride. They work well with an empty truck, will see how they work with a full load." —John S from Wenatchee, WA bought a Rancho RS5000 Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-150.
"I bought a set of new Rancho RS5000 shocks for my 03 F150 FX4 Screw and they felt good for a couple weeks but then the truck started feeling just as rough as it was before the new shock. So I bought a set of Bilstein HD shocks from Autoanything to replace the Rancho shocks and my truck now rides like a dream. The Bilsteins are a little stiffer but not so much that the ride suffers, they are just right and great over the large bumps and potholes that used to rattle my teeth, much smoother now." —Earnest P from Haughton, LA bought a Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-150.
"I put these on my 2003 Ford F150 Harley edition, they tightned the ride and handling up tremendously,I highly recommend them to anyone wanting better handling on their truck." —Keith D from Hinesville, GA bought a Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-150, XLT, 2WD, SuperCab, rear leaf springs.
