1997 F150 Air Bag Suspension

Reviewed By David L (MEDIA, PA) Reviewed for a 1997 Ford F-150 —5/21/2014 8:14 AM

The instructions (diagram) could be a little clearer, but was able to figure it out. Had problems relocating the brake line. The supplied bracket had to be modified, by drilling an extra hole and bending the original bracket to get clearance from the gas tank.

Making your vehicle safer for yourself plus other motorists.

Reviewed By William B (Bryson City, NC) Reviewed for a 1997 Ford F-150 —5/18/2012 9:16 PM

This isn't my first set of Gabriel HIJACKER Shocks but this set is for a totally different purpose than my prior Gabriels. I use my F150 to tow a variety of trailers of various weights. The Gabriel HIJACKER Shocks allow me to adjust the capabilities of my truck to obtain the desired capicity for ultimate safety depending on the weight being towed. My other Gabriel HIJACKERS were on my 70 AAR Cuda unmarked pursuit Police Vehicle. Those shocks allowed me to put the power to the ground to utilize the torque and horsepower generated by a built 340 six-pack to maintain control of the vehicle on the curvy mountain roads I patroled while rapidly ending many pursuits which greatly reduced the threat to the motoring public.

Simple Install

Reviewed By Zach S (KANNAPOLIS, NC) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-150 —6/30/2017 4:32 AM

Very easy to install with hand tools. Instructions say to grind off a bolt in order to attach the smaller bracket clamp but instead, I took the bolt out then installed the clamp then reinstalled the bolt. Works just as fine. Kit DOES NOT come with a "Tee" adapter to connect both sides of air lines into one line, so I went to Lowe's and got one for $3. Checked for leaks and there are none. Ride does stiffen when not hauling but I like it. Will be put to use when towing our 4800lb travel trailer.
