Easy to install
Used these on my 2003 Pilot after 13 years. Had to fight with one of the top bolts on the old one to get it off. Just wish these auto manufactures would do something to cover exposed threads on bolts. They collect dust and grime over time and it takes a lot of WD40 and time to clean off. Plenty of YouTube videos on DIY replacment. Try it out.
KYB Excel-G shocks arrived in good condition
Installed these KYB Excel-G shocks on a 2004 Honda Pilot 180000 miles. Arrived in expected condition and look good. I installed these same model shocks about 80000 miles ago. While those did not show any fluid leaking out of the old ones and did not fail per se, there was significant rust on the outer sheath which I didn't expect to see. Those were Gray in color, and the new ones are black.
Night and day difference
My F350 came with the FX Offroad package and shocks labeled as Ranchos but built to Ford's specifications. I wasn't happy with their performance on our rutted and washboard back roads in Vermont. The Bilsteins have solved the issue; the tendency to wheel hop is eliminated and the truck is much more stable on rough surfaces. The overall ride is the same, but the improvement in handling over rough surfaces makes a world of difference. Highly recommended as an upgrade.
