Excellent shocks!

Reviewed By Sarfraz H (SYOSSET, NY) Reviewed for a 1997 Land Rover Discovery —11/13/2016 4:57 PM

Bought these for a Land Rover Discovery I have been restoring. Fit great and the ride is dramatically better (replaced 19 year old equipment) and you can't beat the price. Mounting hardware isn't the best, I'd recommend original hardware. Car rides higher, rolls better, has less body roll and brakes better. These are on the firmer side and held up nicely off road.

My favorite shock yet

Reviewed By Schuyler J (Kahoka, MO) Reviewed for a 2004 Land Rover Discovery —2/12/2016 9:27 PM

I bought these shocks for my 2004 Land Rover Discovery to replace the less then two year old Terrafirma shocks that were blown. I have to say I absolutely love them. Everything from the ride quality and performance down to the sheer craftsmanship and appearance. From now on Fox shocks are definitely my first choice.

Seal Popped on a dirt road.

Reviewed By Coleman P (Colorado Springs, CO) Reviewed for a 2004 Land Rover Discovery —9/8/2011 7:44 PM

My SJ shock popped the upper seal on a bumpy road, dumping shock oil all over my exhaust, resulting in both a messed up shock and a cloud of nasty white smoke. They had been installed less than 5k, and I really never thrashed them at all until the day this one popped. I had to have a shock to put on while I pursue a warranty claim. *sigh* So I ordered another one of these to match the one that didn't pop. It seems to be working fine now, but it's only been a couple hundred miles. And what am I going to do with a new shock from the warranty claim since I already bought another one? Go ahead and order the Bilsteins. they'll work better, and it wont cost much more than replacing one of these.
