Skyjacker Nitro 8000 Shocks Reviews (1 of 230+)

I was in serious need of new shocks as my F-150 was like jello on wheels, especially in a bumpy turn. When I did the replacement, only 1 of 4 of my old shocks with 120,000 miles were somewhat working. The new ride is firm and keeps everything under control. My truck sits a bit higher now, especially in the rear. I would probably prefer a softer ride with all of the bad roads I drive on but I sacrificed that for a bit more performance. A friend of mine has a new Dodge 2500 pick up which is such a harsh riding truck(with no load). My new Nitro 8000's are much better. Good price performance and value. Easy to install. Have not had my bikes in the back yet but I am sure the truck will be great.

Wow, What a find to save me money I don't have and get my 95 Sedan's air ride back on track. I searched all around town. $500.00 ea. plus install, Then there were the springs. I got the shocks at AutoAnything.com, as easy as 1,2,3!Four days later they were being installed and I saved hundreds vs the dealer and the big named retail auto centers. This was my first, but absolutely, NOT my last purchase from AutoAnything.com. The phone service was A1 Professional. That's a rare find these days! Thanks for the chance to put my feelings in print!Art, Williamsville, NY 14221

Easy to install, but you have to figure out that the small nut at the top of the shock is how you hold it to tighten up the mounts.Look good, ride great, simple install. Lower profile than some other shocks, so your truck does ride a little lower, not by much. Overall, ride waaaay better than stock.I would get these over the two higher priced/higher quality versions of rancho unless you are really picky or really stress your vehicle. These shocks (at about 2/3 to 1/2 the price)take us to school, work, dumpyard, Home Depot etc no problem. If you are a neophyte: they come with ZERO directions, but it ain't hard.

This is a great shock for an all around truck. They have been on a couple weeks and work very well. I especially like that I am able to stiffen the shock when I have my snowplow on and then turn it down when it is off. The adjustability is great when your truck is a daily driver and a part time work truck.I also have the wireless controller which is only wireless from the controller to a compressor. You still have to run air lines to every shock from a central location where you mount the compressor. I envisioned a truly wireless setup from shock to controller, which this definitely is not.

Got these struts for my 05 Mazda 6i and was concerned with the quality since I had been quoted $450 at the mechanic to replace my front struts. I found these struts on AutoAnthing and got them for a great price and saved $300 by installing them myself. I rented the strut tool from AutoZone and I would have to say that it was harder than I anticipated. Took me 3 hours to remove and install both of them. However, it was worth the savings. Car rides great. The OEM had 130,000 miles on them and it was time for new ones. Glad I got these. Hope I can get 50,000 or 60,000 miles out of these. Never have had a vehicle over 100.000 miles. Wife wears them out with her job.
