"I have used the BlackMax before on a differenct truck and I really enyoyed it. So when I purchased another truck I once again purchased the BlackMax. The installation was a little harder outside in the 20 degree weather but it only took me 45 minutes. It looks great."

"its nice but not vary dreable if you pull to hard when you snap the snaps it pulls the thread out of the stiched tream but overall its a nice tonneau cover"

"I have been very happy with my cover it was a great purchase the only problem that I had with it was the instructions but overall it looks great and was very easy to install it very well serves it's purpose it will definetly hold untill I buy a hard top Thanks"

"Arrived quite fast. Was a snap (no pun intended) to install. The only issue I had was a mixup of the different lengths of clamps. Instructions should be bolded for this part. Drive to S Cal and back from Idaho in the snow and ice over Christmas and had no leaks and zero problems. A super great product! Nice to get something that is actually worth the money and as advertised. Capt Russ Swift, USAF-Ret."

"The frame went together easily. I went back and forth about whether to set the cover snaps to "loose" or "tight". I decided to use "loose" and am I glad I did. Even using loose it was a challange to get the cover snapped down at the tailgate. At first I thought "no way is this fitting" but after about an hour of pulling a got all the buttons to snap in. Buttons seem cheap and I broke one right out of the box but luckily they give you extras. Tonneau looks great and I'm getting a slight increase in fuel economy. Very good reasonable tonneau. It will be intresting to see how it holds up."

"I recently purchased a new '08 GMC Sierra 1500 standard (6.5') bed. This tonneau fit and looks good. I chose the BlackMax over the Platinum because I didn't want the bare-aluminum look peeping through from beneath the black cover. I chose this because I had another brand tonneau on my '99 S-10 which ripped along the seam at the cab, and I replaced it with a BlackMax. That BlackMax on the S-10 lasted 7 years of fairly regular use and didn't look too bad, so I figured I would go with another one. I believe snaps all the way around (all 4-sides) is a must for me. They are strong and you don't have to worry about some sewn seam coming loose. The only thing I will say is that you will want to install this in a heated garage or at least let the tonneau warm up inside your house before installing. Once the faux-leather top cools it contracts and it is very difficult to get the snaps in the right position and then snap in place. I use a leftover end from a 2x4 and place the corner of the 2x4 on the snap and use the 2x4 to pull the cover (female) snap over the rail (male) snap and then press down to get it to snap. (never thought I would write snap so many times in one sentence.) My old tonneau was the same way throughout it's lifetime. From experience with my old tonneau, you will never have to worry about the cover getting loose with time and wear. If anything it seemed to get slightly tighter."

"Received cover within 5 days, free Maxseal was suppose to have accompanied the order, but I haven't received it as of yet. Excellent for the model year of my truck. Looks good and I receive many positive comments. Cover was very easy to installed and only took about 30 minutes. The hardest part about the installation is snapping the tabs. Would recommend."

"The tonneau cover was nice, but the installation was not in specifications, therefore was a real problem putting it on. After further inspection it was found that the cover was cut wrong from the factory. I had to call the factory and had to measure it and found it was wrong, the customer service rep. promptly sent a new cover and now it is on. Very disappointed at first."

"Bought this for my 05 Silverado Crew Shortbed. While the installation was a breeze, my expectation of a "taut" cover fell short the first time out at road speed. The cover billows quite high above the 2 bows behind the cab, making it look as if it isn't snapped at all. Had thought the cover would be MUCH tighter against the bed (bows), giving a sleeker look going down the road, but not the case. The only time the cover is snug, is while the truck isn't moving. This is also marketed as "Black Max", but why have the frame rails & bows black, but not the rail mounting hardware ?? Talk about standing out ! Bright silver against an all black frame makes no sense. Overall, I guess for the money , a good cover, but will be looking for a better alternative..I give 3 stars.."

"Went together easy. I put the cover on in very cold weather and had to flip all the snaps to get the cover to fit. This made the installation take a little longer than normal. Nice cover and looks very good!"
