"My second one, they are great. This one, however, came missing some snaps and one cross bow that wouldn't fit. Factory sending replacements. I wouldn't buy any other soft cover. Ed, Florida"

"The tonneau cover that I bought was easy to install once I got the thing figured out. Once that happened it took me 35 minutes to install it. looks great and the tailgate sealer helps out a great deal, because it made the bed so air tight that I have to undo a few snaps to be able to open or close the tailgate on the truck. It also looks great, a friend is going to order his son one for christmas. Love it wish I had not waited so long."

"hi just to let you know out there in truck land, the Extang Classic Platinum Tonneau cover is a great product thus far, haven't had it on very long,so can not qualify the lastableity of the product. The ease of installation was good, some clearfition is needed for the instructions, one of which is the fact that if your first install is in cool to cold tempretures you will need to get inside where it is WARM, or be in the sunlight, to put the cover over the snaps, because the cover is rolled up in a warm place and needs to be streached out in order to get it on, i have NOT tried to unsnap it after i got it on to see if it stays after being streched out, and number two, is the instructions do NOT give you any idea as to where the bows go, thay give you three (3) bows and thay are of differant sizes,(each one longer that the other, or shorter that the other depending on which way you place them. thanks brooks "

"This is the third Extang classic platinum tonneau I have owned and the reason for that is it works well for my needs. An integrated ladder rack that could easily be removed when not in use would make it perfect."

"I bought an Extang snap cover for my Dodge Ram about 5 yrs ago and recently sold the truck with the cover on it. Then I bought the truck I have now and made the mistake of buying a Torza snap cover and it was not fun they told me to pull it out and snap the tailgate first well between two of us we couldn't even get one snap snapped so I ended up sending it back and taking a bath on the shipping and restocking fee $60. I looked into buying another one and spoke to a lady at one of the truck accessory shops and she said if your going snaps it's gotta be EXTANG so I bought another one and it would of went on in like 20 minutes but I had a small issue with the clamps and my bedliner otherwise it was a 1-2-3 kind of thing. I knew it would be a breeze becauseit was made exactly like my other one and I was right. We got the tailgate all snapped and the rest was very easy to do. IF you going to buy a snap cover don't buy anything but EXTANG."

"This is the best value in tonneau covers that I could find. Made of aluminum and with a 10 year warranty on the cover itself. Looks great in my pickup, I do not mind what other people call the "camper" look. Tension bars keep the cover higher than the edge of the pickup box. This keeps the cover stretched and water out of it. It took a bit of time to install, but afterwards you do not need to touch it again. Make sure that you seal all of the edges so water does not gets inside the bed. The kit comes with extra foam pieces so you can do this. It took me about a month to choose a tonneau cover and I am 100% happy with this one."

"This was my second Extang. First one was in great shape after 6 years, but had to sell that truck. Installation was very simple and the directions very clear. Total time was about 25 minutes (my 14 year old son did most of it on his own). Wind flap is minimal...provided that you install correctly, using the weather stripping provided. Don't hesitate to by this cover. Excellent value, looks great and haven't had a drop of water in the bed yet!"

"This is my 4th Extang Tonneau cover from Dodge Ram's to Toyota Tacomas and here are my issues with the quality going down: Your aluminum extrusions are not debured at the ends. Your cut opreration is either to fast for the blade speed or to much force when cutting. When I tried to remove the tailgate end it was wedged in because the burrs folded over when I installed the end pieces causing a shimed fit. This utlimately caused me to scratch my New truck and tail lens when removing. The placement of stickers for the clamps are off by as much as a 1/4 inch from either side. Who wants slanted bows? The cover itself has a slight wrinkle in the rear corner. The product reminds me that the parts came from China. Since I have been there setting up manufacturing, I am probably hitting the nail on the head. Please keep your quality standards in check. Your product, at one time, was top shelf. "Excellent fit and easily installed. Crossmember design is especially good. Details like snap retainers on back of side rail, corner connections and crossmember attachment sites are well designed and are obviously evolutionary improvements. I still own a 1991 Chevy shortbed bought new on which I installed, in 1991, a cover purchased at Sears which was manufactured by a small Co. eventually aquired by Lund (I learned because I have bought 2 new covers) which has the basics the new Extang unit bought for the 2009 shortbed has but lacks the evolutionary improvement which significantly enhance the cover durability and appearance,especially in the crossmember design and crossmember attachment mechanism. I like the Extang cover a lot and I think in the long run the "attached frame design" like the classic platinum and my old Sears unit will look better longer since the cover portion is replaceable for a "new look" for less than an intergrated folding frame cover model replacement. The Tonneau was received quickly and was packaged well. There were no instructions although the box had some clues in the illustrations showing the features of the rail joints and snap components."

"Delivery was exceptionally prompt Intallation instructions were very helpful Actual installation was a "snap" However each of the three bows were not manufactured properly. The plastic ends would slip/slide right out the end of the aluminum bow. After some frustration, we were able to re-seat these ends into the bow - something the Michigan factory should have done. Just disappointed we needed to do anything at all. Overall, this is the second Extang Classic Cover we have purchased and are satisfied with our purchases."

"Looked at other products but this was the best buy for the money,about an hour installation time,laid parts out the night before,reversed clips,etc. Was on 2 road trips (6hrs) held up fine.Look at battery operated lights for bed night loading works great."

"Fast shipping and best price on the net. This cover is of great quality and value. I was impressed with the fact that I was able to install it without any problems in 30 degree weather. The only thing that I don't like is the clamps. They offer "Standard or Import". The Standard clamp has the capscrew on the top which interferes with the bows. The Import has the capscrew on the bottom which would not interfere with the bows. I received the Standard."
