  • Trucks with bed caps: the Extang Classic Platinum Tonneau Cover fits all factory and most non-factory plastic bed caps. The Classic Platinum will not fit aluminum or stainless steel bed caps.
  • Trucks with flipping bed extenders: the Extang Classic Platinum will not fit flipping bed extenders.

"I'm very happy with the cover, but when it's cold out, it is difficult to get enough pull on the cover to snap it. I even changed the snaps to the winter setting, but it is still hard."

"The cover was easy to install, and at first looked great...but after I drove through some heavy wind on the highway, it was stretched out and really didn't fit right. I was carefull to install it correctly, and snapped on the cover according to the directions, but it still stretched out, disappointing."

"This is a tremendous improvement over the old one I Had (which also provided 4 years of adequate service). The cross bar supports are superior and should be much more durable. The metal snaps are a thousand fold better than the old "squeeze the plastic" type. Would definitely recommend upgrading to the platinum since the cheaper plastic snaps are not adequate for the cold climate."

"Relatively easy to set up. Top had to be stretched a bit to fit over the frame. Only deficiency is Velcro for securing top near cab is a bit short."

"I had to cut 6 notches in my under the rail bedliner for the clamps to install this cover, not a big deal but not how I remember it to be advertised. Otherwise I am very pleased with it, installation was straight forward, it dressed up my truck even better than my previous hard cover liner I had for many years which wore out. Handling is a noticable improvement as well, which is the best feature of all. The snaps were difficult to snap on at the lowest tighness setting, but suspect that will be easier as it stretches into place."

"I would rate my Extang Platinum Tonneau cover a strong four. The only problem, and it may not be Extang's fault, is trying to get a tight water proof fit on the bed of a Toyota pick-up which has excessively large side rail caps."

"Was no problem installing onto my truck. Drove thru a heavt rainstorm crossing Florida and nothing in the back got wet. Very easy to unsnap, load/unload, then re-snap. If I had another truck I would buy another cover."

"this is my first tonno cover and i really like it. it keeps the elements out, looks good, and i've actually seen a slight improvement in highway gas mileage. the build quality seems quite good too. it was just a little difficult to get the tarp stretched and snapped even with the snaps in the looser position, but only for the first time. it you want a good, low priced, basic tonno cover, consider this one!"
