Extang 99 Tacoma

"It fits good on the truck, took about an hour to put it on; some states it only took them 20 mins. I've driven with it for over 200 miles and doesn't see any difference with the gas mileage but it does a good job storing my things without getting it wet."

More Than I Expected

"Let me say that my Extang Fulltilt Tonneau Cover is more than I expected. It only took me approx. thirty minutes to install on my 2005 Chevelet Colorado to which I was surprized as how easy it was to install. With the full tilt you are able to access your full payload from three sides with no trouble at all. After installing the Extang Fulltilt Tonneau Cover the bed of my truck has been completely dry at all times. I belong to a Marine Corps League and have materal and equipment in the bed of my truck 24/7 and have yet to find any thing wet or damp. I don't think I could have made a better choice in choosing a Tonneau Cover than the Extang Fulltilt Tonneau Cover."

Great cover!

"I got my cover shipped to me within 7 days. It works and looks great on my truck. One PROBLEM though: I got an open box. The bars that came with it were the wrong ones and are 2 inches too long. Luckily I had 2 other bars from an old tonneau cover that fit perfectly. When i get around to it I can shorten the new bars with a hacksaw to fit. But this is something i shouldn't have to do. If i hadn't had the old bars, I would have complained."

"What a quality product for the money. The design on how it attaches to your bed without having to drill is great. The tilt feature and cost of product is what sold me and I'am happy to say the quality is very good."

Easy to install

"Just installed the Extand FullTilt Tonneau Cover. It was easier than I had anticipated. It took about 90 minutes but that was because I didn't want to misapply and basically, I installed it and took it all apart and reinstalled it just to understand. If I were to do it again, I believe it would take less than half an hour. However, because I have a bed liner with the forward end of the bed frame overlapped, I have a large gap between the cover frame corners and the bed itself. I put extra foam between the forward corners of the cover frame and the bed but how long is that going to last?"

Wrong screws?

"The screws that come in the package seem like they're incorrect for my truck ('05 F-150 6 1/2 foot bed). They are too long and hit my bed wall before they tighten. I called extang thinking the screws were incorrect but they sent me more and they were the same size. I went to Lowe's and bought a handful of washers so that I wouldn't mess up the bed anymore than I already had. Seems to work and I like it now but that was a pain."

Added convenience worth the extra cost

"I will keep this brief. I had an Extang tonneau on my last truck, and it held up great over the years. The new one was a little tricky to install and has a weird belly (depression) in the cover between the third bow and the back at highway speeds. I can live with that. The things that make this cover great are a) the tilt feature on the cover which keeps me from having to lay flat in the bed to get cargo from the front, and b) the snapless cover, which was difficult to close in cold temperatures. All in all, this cover was just what I was looking for."

Great Product but missing many parts

"Although the finished product is very good, it was shipped to me missing two screws that should have been pre installed, and ALL 8 of the bolts that hold the clamps on were not included. Rather than wait a week or two for replacements to be sent, I just purchased them locally. Not sure how quality control could miss those 8 large bolts..."

"The Extang fulltilt tonneau cover has the best of both worlds, not only can you unsnap the cover and roll it back to haul tall items but you can lift it up in order to reach items that may have rolled to the front without having to crawl in the bed to reach them"
