Installing the FullTilt Tonneau is easy—no tools and no drilling required!

Great Find

Posted on 04/07/2007 by Matthew E. - 1992 Dodge Ram (Plover,WI)

"I was in the market for a tonneau cover and didn't want the hassle of having to roll up and re-fasten a cover. Originally I was looking at hard covers but the price was ridiculous. When I found the Extang Fulltilt it fit what I wanted almost perfectly. Sure it was a soft cover but with no need to roll it up and the FullTilt feature it was made a moot point. The price was good and the installation was easy. Even for someone who's never dealt with putting one on before. I'm glad I came across this product and even happier that I bought it."

Good but levers seem backwards

Posted on 03/30/2007 by Ruel T. - 2002 Chevy Silverado (Sharpsburg,GA)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"The two levers that keep the cover down seem like they were put on backwards. If I try to put the small in towards the bed it hits the rear inner panel. If I put the long in towards the bed, it will work but it hits the side of the truck before it is 90 degrees."

"I PURCHASED MY EXTANG COVER MOSTLY BECAUSE IT WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE ONE THAT I FOUND. HOWEVER I AM VERRY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY AND THE EASE OF INSTALLATION. THIS COVER KEEPS OUT WATER AND MOSTLY ALL OF THE DUST FROM OUR GRAVEL ROAD . I WOULD HIGLY RECOMEND THIS COVER AND AM CONSIDERING PURCHASING ANOTHER FOR MY OTHER TRUCK."

Love my Extang Full Tilt Tonneau Cover

Posted on 03/27/2007 by Ron D. (Green Lane,PA)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"This is my second purchase of a Extang Full Tilt Tonneau Cover. The first was for my 2001 Dakota, the second for my 2005 Dakota. I love the ease of the tilt open feature and it is very easy to remove and put back on when you need to remove it for hauling large items. I highly recomment this cover for anyone who needs the versatility of the features offered."

full tilt tonneau

Posted on 03/25/2007 by Mike D. - 2004 Chevy Silverado (Pen Argyl,PA)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"All of the parts were not in the delivery box.i.e. front of bed black piece was missing. Also when installing the bed rails no mattter what we did we couldn't get the center rail to fit. We had to finally cut it down to get proper fit. Outside of those 2 things I'm happy with it. One other small problem is in the front corner on the driver side the stitching for the cover is coming apart. I only hope that it doesn't start to seperate. Thank you."

Problem with installation instructions and hardware.

Posted on 03/15/2007 by Robert S. (Fernandina Beach,FL)

"I bought this tonno cover for my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. I am mechanically inclined (a machinist by trade) and have no problems following instructions, however it took me approximately (4) hours ton install this cover by my self. The clamp bolts for the (4) side clamps were 3/4 inch too long and bottomed out. I had to use 1 inch long bolts from my garage to install the side clamps. The frame locking levers would not secure properly with the supplied bolts. I had to use longer 1/4 inch bolts from my garage with flat washers for spacers to get the locking levers to lock at a right angle. The was no mention in the installation instructions to install the foam corner pads. The pads appeared to be a round seal in the plastic bag provided. I did not call extang for installation assistance or the proper hardware that I needed. Bob S., Fernandina Beach, Fl"

Can not go wrong

Posted on 03/10/2007 by James P. - 2006 Ford Ranger (Tulare,CA)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"I was shopping for a low end priced tilt tonneau. I was a little Leary not knowing what to expect. Would it fit would it look good on my truck. I also wanted the Peel&Seal because I felt it would look better then snaps. It arrived after two weeks as promised. Assembly was easy and all the tools you need a couple of Allen wrenches comes with it. It took under 50 min start to finish and that was going at a very leisurely pace. The Peel&Seal looks great and rolls into the groves with ease and the top is securly held and I'm glad that I didn't go with the snaps. The top can be easly lifted off the hinge to make use of the bed when needed. One person could do it but a helping hand is better. There is no problem opening the tail gate with it down. and the rubber seal around the frame does a good job keeping water out. It rained hard a few days after I installed it and the bed stayed dry. The one negative was the clamps nearest the cab where partially blocked by the bed frame. I was able to align up one of the bolt holes of the clamp and offset it a bit. It still holds the frame securely. I wouldn't hessite to purchase an Extang again. The one thing I found out it will increase your mpg at least freeway miles by 10+ percent. I drive a 100 miles a day and its been a big savings."

Solid so far...

Posted on 03/07/2007 by Gary P. - 2007 Ford F150 (Cincinnati,OH)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I have a 2007 F-150 Supercrew and very recently installed a snapless Fulltilt. Installation was pretty easy and only took about 40 minutes by myself. The only issue there was as a result of doing so in 30-degree weather - it was a little difficult to stretch the cover over the frame. I was pleased that all of the extra foam padding I needed to ensure closure under the frame was included. One thing that does need a little modification is the length of the strap you use to pull the cover down. I'm 5'10" and can reach it alright, but anyone shorter might struggle with doing so unless they climb up on the tailgate. Other than that, I have not yet found any problems. However, I have only owned it for a few weeks and would not feel comfortable rating it with 5 stars having not used it for a longer period of time. I hope it holds up and impresses me as Extang covers have for me in the past. I hope this helps a little."

Great Product!

Posted on 03/06/2007 by Jason S. - 2006 Toyota Tacoma (Wilmington,MA)

"I recently installed the FullTilt on my 06 Tacoma. It looks great, the quality of the components is great. Very easy to install (it took me about 1.5 hours) in the freezing cold. I actually assembled it in my living room then installed in on the truck. My only complaint is that I lose the use of my tie downs on the track system. Other than that I would definitely recommend it. The tilt feature is awesome!"
