"Very easy to install - took about 30 minutes. Looks great. I like the way it gives easy access to the truck bed and rolls up out of the way when not needed. The additional tiedowns it provides are a nice touch. It does collect a little water when it rains, but not enough to cause a problem and the water just runs off once the truck is moving. All-in-all a well designed and functional product!"

Vs Truxedo Lo-Pro

"I used to have a Truxedo Lo-pro on my old truck. When I got a newer truck, I wanted the same cover. I stumbled upon this one and for $150 less, I thought I'd give it a try. Only had it for a couple weeks, but here are first impressions. Overall very comparable to Lo-Pro. Like the clamps better but wish there were 6. Very waterproof (6 inches of rain in last week, not a drop in bed). Don't like the way "ribs" are attached to cover, seems flimsy, but time will tell. I like the double seals on the side rails (top and inside of rail) and the front and rear seals appear to do a good job (as long as they stay flexible). The auto-tensioning on the Lo-Pro was a GREAT feature, wish it was on this one. Sits completely flat, looks great! As long as it holds up, I would buy again because of its cheaper price. If price was the same, I'd probably have stuck with Truxedo."

"The Extang RT looks great but it leaks water. I have tried everything to make it fit tighter but it still leaks. Would have returned this product but I no longer had the box it came in which you need per the return instructions. The price was fair but it should not leak at any price."

"Fit and looks are what I was looking for. Install can be handled alone, but it is much easier with another helping hand to do the rails. I have a sprayed in liner that goes over the top and this still fit fine. Tailgate is hard to open, but some trimming of the rubber stop will take care of that. The truck seems more stable when next to 18 wheelers and in windy weather conditions which added to the 1 mile more per gallon I got, made it all worth the cost to me."

"I bought this cover because I didn't want to pay for an expensive hard tonneau cover. This seemed to be a good soft cover and still at a low prie. The cover looks good and appears well built, with a good warranty. Installation instructions were not the best, but the steps were easy enough. I recommend an extra pair of hands to hold the rails in place while you screw the brackets in place. I did the install by myself in about 30 minutes, but it could have been 15 with someone holding the rails for me. The cover does not pool water and is easy to roll up. When driving on the freeway the cover has a bit of movement, but hopefully it holds up."

Corners need some work

"The Extang RT is good for the price. The corners had some small gaps in the seals which allows for leaks when it rains. A little rubber seal & I made do. Alos no one told me about the big holes in the bed of my Colorado which I had to stop up to keep water out."

"Overall the cover looks great. Very low profile, only took 20 minutes to install by myself. its been 2 weeks and been through 2 heavy rain and so far no leaks. Auto Anything was a pleasure to deal with. Very fast shipping and very good customer service."

"The delivery by AutoAnything was great. The cover installs easily. I have had the cover for 6 months. The cover rolls back and up easily. The cover keeps the bed dry. Except for the two little ears at the tailgate that can wick water into the corners, I could not decide whether they need trimming. I am a little disappointed with the tightness of the cover along the sides and the fit on the rails. The velcro and seals curl on one side and the top sags in between the rails and bows, rain water puddles. I can imagine that the fit will not improve over time."

"I was looking for a cover that would not take away from the looks of the truck, or take a huge chunk of change from my pocket book. The Extang RT tonneau was the perfect combination!! The installation was super easy and took maybe 30 minutes. I did it in the driveway right after it was delivered and needed no tools at all, it came with everything. Im extremely happy with my purchase and autoanything.com has come through for me once again!! The Extang cover provides extra secure storage in the bed while away from home and rolls up completely for use of the whole bed. The bed extender is also still usable. Im also hoping to potentially save on gas although I driving a lifted truck. The cover is very low profile and hardly visible. Overall this is a great cover that is well worth it!! I was skeptical about a soft roll up cover, but not anymore, I highly recommend the Extang RT tonneau!!"

"This cover looks very good and easy to install, it took me approximatly 45 minutes by myself only due to modification for my srt 10 spoiler. Other than that it would only take 15-20 minutes to install, fitment of this cover is perfect and totally sealed. I have ran my truck through an automatic car wash and is still sealed as far as I can tell. I highly recommend this tonneau cover for it's easiness to install and sleek look. I have been looking a long time for a low profile cover and this one in my opinion is the best cover on the market. I highly recommend buying from AutoAnything and they ship FAST!! "This cover was very easy to install, it took me by myself about 40 minutes from box to finish. It looks great, but I did have some water leakage in the front by the cab wall. When the weather gets warmer I will try to adjust it forward slightly. I received the tailgate seal but have not installed it yet. No leakage around the tailgate so far."

"This is by far the best looking tonneau cover I've ever seen. It fit my 2004 F-150 FX4 like a glove. It was very easy to install, I didn't even need the instructions that were supplied. The installation took about 20 minutes by myself. This tonneau cover is definitely worth the price."

Extang RT Tonneau Cover

"I never owned a tonneau cover before, but compared to what I've seen on the street, this one is not that nice. I attaches with velcro and looks kind of "cheesey" alone the sides. The support poles are integrated into the cover and roll up with it which was important to me, but given the overall look I think the price was high. The problem with all of these is that the picture is inadequate to evaluate what you're getting. It's better than the covered wagon tonneau, and it serves it purpose but based on its looks I wouldn't buy it again"

"I installed my new Extang RT cover the evening after it arrived. The temperature was in the 30's, and it still installed very easily. I NEVER imagined installing a tonneau cover successfully in cold weather, but it worked! It seals nicely against the bed, and looks great! I would buy it again."
