"Both me and my friend have this cover and love it. His ('05 F150) is a little more loose than mine, but has no problems. I have a Dodge 3500 Short Bed, Single Rear Wheel. I ordered the cover for the 1500/2500 short bed since the 3500 application isn't listed."

Just barely beat a tarp trown over the back

"This cover will not support any body standing on it. At 70 MPH the cover sags down between the supports 8". This is a 2 person job to put on. This is not easy to roll up nor roll out. The covers fit is good as far a shape of cover to body shape. Stink where it fits down on top edge and top of tailgate. Sorry"

"The look is awesome, and very clean I am very happy with the cover. I had one wrong part in the kit, the tail rib was too short; Extang sent out the right one no problem with in a week. The snap less system is very easy and seems secure. The only two draw backs. I can not access the cab portion of the bed easily and at speeds over 70 mph I get a whistle."

"Extang Tuff Tonneau III Cover looks good but no way could a person stand on it the way it is advertised in the website. I have the same complaint that a lot of people do about it flaps in the wind. We'll see how the gas mileage works out."

"The only thing I don't like about it is the plastic clips on the end by the tailgate. They seem like they won't last long, time will tell. Overall, nice looking and easy to install, hope it last as long as my last Extang Tonneau cover."

"This is a good cover but small issues keep it from being great. On the plus side are; price (great), warranty (great), ease of installation (good), and looks (great). Unfortunately there are some negatives. First, the corner "hardware" is plastic and a little fragile. I actually broke one of the locking tabs while disassembling the frame per the instructions. Second, the cross bars are much higher than my last cover so they block more of the rearward view. Third, even with the cross bars set to the highest setting for max tension, the cover buffets a lot. All in all, I'm satisfied with the cover and would recommend it to others but not without warning them of its shortcomings."

"I love this cover! And while I can't quite attest to gas mileage yet because I won't let it get below three quarters of a tank. I'm sure it will improve it dramatically. Cost wise it beats out having to buy what the dealership has at twice the cost. The only negative is it's basically a permenant cover which can't be rolled back to put stuff in."

"Just got my Extang Tuff Tonneau III cover and the installation can't be easiler. I got it done in 30 mins without cutting anything off from my truck. Although it is easy to installed, I think the vinyl is not tight enough over the truck bed. When driving on fwy, I often find the vinyl "caved in" alot. It looks like a vinyl draped on three bow across the truck bed even the truck is standing still. Other than that, the price is good and the quality is good too. I really hope it DOES save me some gas......."

"I like it. It is functional and easy, and it is cheap so you don't expect it to perform like a $1000 cover. It is good enough for the avg person. It is a little big so all 4 corners don't fasten securly but it is also very hot here and may tighten up in the cooler fall. It is tough, but I can't imagine anyone standing on it like the photo."

"The Extang Tuff Tonneau III Cover is a quality product,the way it attatches to the rail is a great innovation over the clumsy snaps, the installation instructions are clear, BUT the cover does not fit as tight as I would have hoped, and there is no way that my 40 Lb. daughter could stand on the cover without sagging in about 6in. (even with the bows raised to the upper position. Im not sure if this thing is supposed to shrink to fit or what. I just wish the cover fit as tight as it looks in all the pictures with the woman standing on it."

"Front rail doesn't seal well, tailgate rail doesn't seal at all. Rear corners pull-up causing tailgate rail to gap. Moisture rating is 8, don't think so."

"I've only had the Extang Tuff Tonneau III Cover a short time, but I like it better than a different brand cover I had on a previous truck. It's much easier to use and the quality is somewhat better. The only minor complaint about the Extang cover is that it has a little too much slack and has a tendency to "flap" at highway speeds. Overall, it is an excellent cover and I would not hesitate to purchase one again for myself and I will recommend it to friends and others."

"It didn't take long at all to put on, under an hour. It looks fine. It seems to be very durable but only time will tell. My last cover got brittle and developed tears after 5 years. I hope this one last longer. I will send in another review in 5 years if you want to know my final opinion."

"Product sure doesn't match advertising. Bulges up 2" in front and stretches down 5" to 6" in back, and that's at just 60 mph!"
