"The paper instruction manual and on line video installation manual need a lot of work. Although common sense may prevail in this installation a well done manual would be of great assistance. It took myself and my son 4 hours to install this rollback liner and that's directly related to the inadequate installation manual that comes with the product. One more thing about this; try making the advice on installation you've done model specific to the extent possible. Show video of installs on Fords, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota and so on, not just two of them and think that addresses all the nuances of each model.
With a few tweeks I'm sure I'll be satisfied with the model as a whole. But any "utopian" idea about an easy installation is either intentionally misleading or naive on the manufacturers part. This was a lot of work; updated installations manuals and more articulate video's would greatly reduce calls to tech support."

"The G2 arrived on schedule and with all of its parts.
I had read that the installation instructions were poor, so I watched the video on the BAK website. This helped me interpret the written instructios that came with the cover. Installation took about 3 hours, largely due to proceeding slowly while interpreting the instructions. I called BAK several times to get clarification on one point. I never got a call back from my first call. On my second call, I was on hold for over 40 minutes before I finally hung up. After my thirsd call, I finally got a call back, and my question answered.
The cover worked right the first time, and I immediately used it on a road trip that covered 2500 miles in a week. It does leak a bit, but my first impression is that it will work well for me. It is easy to use, and good looking."

"The fit and finish are very good. It looks and works great the only complaints I have are the installation directions are poor. I needed to get some thin high density foam and some automotive 3m double sided tape to shim the side rails so they would not be angled upwards, and the unit is far from water tight. But overall I find the unit to be very good."

"I am impressed with the quality and the looks. The instructions are on the verge of terrible but I was prepared for it because I had read several reviews on this product. I don't understand when you have such a good product why you would not take the extra time to give clear concise instruction because the actual installation would be a cake walk. Simple things like the aluminum angle brackets that you have to screw to your rail, are right and left handed or where and how you should mount the additional stops for the cover. How about the fact that there are 3 different websites and 3 different warranty statements. I am going by the 3 year warranty. Unit seems to be dry."

"Really like the BAK RollBak cover. Like several reviews, I think the directions could have been better. I spent longer than needed making sure the rails would position correctly before drilling the front brackets. The cover is not completely watertight as there was some water in the bed after driving through a car wash. Overall, I am very pleased with the cover."

"Easy install. Instructions could be better. Some things you just have to figure out but it's not too hard. If you thought you were up to this task in the first place you'll get it done. Seems very sturdy."
